Do your town have red light camera?

Yeah my city has something like that too , we have cameras down town and at a park too. There are 'eyes' in the sky no matter where you are today . Big Brother is watching us !
 
We have a lot of that around the Bay Area.. when the the light turns red, the camera flashes to read your license plate. The citation will be given to you in the mail.
 
we have that but not sure if it red I think I saw blue light others know better
 
We have these in and around Seattle. I've never really understood the problem, just don't run red lights, how hard is that really?
 
yeah, my city has had cameras at certain intersections for at least 15+ years. To be honest though, I don't even know if they even work anymore, they may now just be a scare tactic...
 
I am pretty much 50-50 (support and opposed). I have too many near run into somebody that ran red light or stop sign. Scares shyt out of me! I never forget one stupid driver ran though red light on busy intersection, mind you.. it was on Friday the 13th, anyway I was kinda of speeding knowing I have green light ahead of me, I looked though the grave yard and spotted a speeding car heading toward same intersection I was heading too... I watched closely noticed NO brake light comes on at all and I knew its gonna be bad if I continue so I slapped the brake so hard... sure enough that idiot ran though the red light! My wife couldn't believe what she saw and was grateful for my judgement and my gut speaking.

I knew if I ran into accident like this with no camera, I will have tough time fighting for justice, thus the reason why I am kinda of support because of that, also I was opposed as its like money making scheme for government and invasion of privacy in general as well.

The only thing that I got tickets was from the speeding, right now I don't feel like speeding anymore so its been a good while.

BIG FYI, it is one of my pet peeves about most of drivers and that is continue drive though broken red light and considered it as green by default. that action is one of most IDIOTIEST thing any drivers would think... Anytime when the red light is not working, by law (yes, its in the book) by default its blinking red light PERIOD just like this >.< Image if a truck driving speeding south to the intersection while a car is speedomg West toward to that very same intersection and there is broken red light due to power outrage... what do you think would happen? Its kinda predictable, too graphic to elaborate, eh? Yes, I have experienced stupid drivers behind me flashing headlight and keeping honking when I slow down and stop at broken red light... WTF? aren't they retarded or what?
 
I am sick of drivers that cut you off right in the middle of a turn , I had to avoid a car that did this to me , there was no lights but I had the right of way. I was told a light was going to put up b/c it's a bad intersection
I guess the city it waiting for a horrible accident to happen first then put up traffic lights . :roll:
 
We had those cameras and it took a couple of years but they are now gone
 
I got the mail and I was like WTF. Oh, the citation had pictures of my son driving my car failing to stop completely at the red light when he made a right turn. It took a picture of my lic plate on the rear while it took another picture of the driver in the front before he made a turn. That's smart because some cars don't have the plate in the front.

So I showed it to him, he was like "Oh ****". The citation asked me if the driver in the picture was me, I told my son that he was the driver in the picture very clearly so by mail, I responded that it was not me and I had to write down his driver lic number as required. He appeared in the court which sent him to a community service since he had no money to pay fines.

My town is very strict since if a driver stops at the red light over the line, it's called failing to stop completely. Its red light cameras caught so many drivers both ways.
 
we got dummy ones aswell but you never know
