Yes, that's right we're not here to judge anyone but share our opinions what good or bad advantages between rent the house/appartment & house owner.

Yes, I know that it's not easy for single parent who mortaged the house/appartment alone to support the family. But it's most important to have friendly neighbors around & also good landlords... Germans Landlords or neighbors here are impossible with agreement contracts like what I stated about.

That's good to know that you're happy with your home what you like to have... I also know it's good advantage for single parents to rent the appartment with free water, sewage, repair etc. :ily:

I'm curiously how much the people rent the house/appartment every monthly in your country?
Here in Germany rent one bedroom appartment from between €250 and €350, two to three bedroom appartment/house cost between €500 & €600.

Hi BullymOm, yes, I live in Australia for 18 yrs from England! :wiggle:

Most Australians live in a "bungalow" (they won't listen to us, they call it HOUSE!) ha ha We bought a Bungalow and have extended it to a two storey now with my favorite Cape Cod windows at the front!!!

The morgage interest rate here is approximately 6.5% which is reasonable here. They are predicting a small rise soon.

We find that food is cheaper than England specially all meats but petrol is more expensive than Canada or America but cheaper than Europe. We are paying about 0.92 cents Australian per litre. This can vary up to 0.10 cents up or down, (up if its a public holiday weekend!!!!)

I think Australian Dollar and Canadian Dollar are reasonably similar in value from when we visited.

First home buyer in major cities will pay approximately $250,000 for first home.

Don't be scared to fly oversea's, I have been to Canada, America, all through Europe, Australia and New Zealand, much by myself and had a great time.

I am going to England later this year.

Found these ad in my newspaper about house rent for 3 beds house, gas duct heating/cooling, large double carport, quiet location is $285 Australian per week.

Clinker Brick, sleeps 9, full furnitured, out goings paid, min. 3 months. $500 per week.

3 bedroom apartment, carport, close to beach/station/shops 7 schools $225 per week.

1 bedroom flat, walk to shops $130 per week.

2 bedroom, duct heating air condition, Lock up garage, excellent position $360 per week.

I Have a house for 510.00 a month with 2 bedrooms....
 
We have a three bedroom Fleetwood house in NYC, we own the house, but we have to pay for the lot that it lies on....so we pay 435.00 a month for the "rent" since we live in a trailer community...only these homes are not mobile...unless you want to shell oout 5-10K to have them moved elsewhere. I haven't seen it done, yet, though...LOL. I think people just want to sell them.

Good starter homes or single parent homes though. :)

I lived in old public housing apartments for 11 years, then I moved to Section 8 federal housing for handicapped talnets.. I pay electric, rent, cable+internet and etc.. Gas/Water/Trash on landlord pays..

Good wise better get section 8 better than public housing, they're miscaluated incomes to my rent little higher than my section 8 rental.. like right now,, Section 8 $161.00 a month and public housing about $198.00... Public housing are shit place! I like section 8 HUD they're great service!

any landlord no way.. cuz i do NOT want
these landlord taking advantage of me !!
i do NOT want to make any landlord rich...
i would not want a landlord telling me
to move out anytime they want to...

that s why i own my condo pay very little $$
water very little $$ for electric we have a few
tennis courts, 2 swimming pools and
a clubhouse.. glad that i bought it myself
without depending on any so called
"ex-hubby" or "child support" etc...
some women were lucky to keep
their house from previous marriages
but i never gotten married.. i worked
very hard to earn and purchase my condo
myself years ago and now if i sell it now i will be
making a huge profit... about 65 percent
more than its original price, i mean the
price already went up more than a double....

if you have a lease the landlord can not force you to move out...you have rights as a tenate.. :P
 
I rent with hubby in granny flat behind in law's house. :P Can't afford a house due to hubby's ex-wife siphoning too much money out of him, grr...(for child support).

Right, the landlord cannot force you to
move out on a lease for one year as a tenant
depend on the lease agreement,
BUT he/she can decide
to refuse to sign another lease agreement
after one year lease depend on
their decision to agree again or not.

For myself, I am still living at home, but I pay rent for my parents so they can let me stay there. :) My family and myself are still living at this house since I was 5 years old, and my brother was about a several months old baby. We tried to find a new house a while ago but we couldn't find a house that my parents like, so we all decided to have the house remodeled, and so far we are about 3/4 the way finish. The worst part of the remodel is the KITCHEN!!

I don't own a house, nor rent one :D

I live with my partner and his mum - his mum lives with us every two months for work.

Oh, and we live with the evil cat too.
 
Own a mortgaged house with 5 bedrooms.
3 teenagers daughters and DH, two dogs, one cat and some koi's.
