Do you have deaf person in ur family?

My family is hearing and my cousins are hearing. All hearing, but I'm only deaf. What I am doing? I'm bored. :zzz: lol

No, my family and children are hearing. Mostly of my family use "home signs" and my children use sign like I use mostly of time. I wish i adopt deaf baby someday but who know?

Yes, I have a deaf older brother and a deaf niece (his daughter). Apparently males carry deafness gene in our family.

We have two younger half sisters (from different father) so it is just me and my brother out of 4 siblings.
 
:dance: I am only one deaf in whole whole gene in the famly...

I agreed with you Mommyof3.. will be nice to have deaf child or adopt one, too..
 
Yes I do have two deaf cousins....She is 18 years old and He is below 40 years old.

now that you mention it, there seems to be more males who are deaf than females are...

weird eh? though I am the only deaf person in the family but years and years ago, my great great grandfather was deaf and my mom believes I have his genes due to his deafness...lol
 
one of two sisters is deaf. my dad is a little hoh, so was his dad and his dad, too. runs in the family, eh?
 
Yes, I have a large number of deaf brothers/sisters
in family as well as hearing members, too !
Geez, that's why I feel so blessed for having fun
during family gathering during holidays
and at family beach house once every year....
I keep giving "thanks" to the Lord and
to my Mom/Dad for both deaf and
hearing siblings :)

I am only deaf in my family for right now. I had great great aunt and great great uncle was deaf and cousin was deaf but all of them died :(

I am the only deaf person in my family as well, although my dad has a second cousin who is deaf. I remember thinking that I was the only kid in the entire universe who was hoh!
