Do you have any relatives or friends close to you in the war?

I just found out that my brother enlisted into the army and is awaiting the go-ahead for the physical exam :ugh:

He said he wanted to go find Saddam or bin Laden and shoot them :roll:

I don't know if he will really go into the army, and I don't know if he does have the guts to go into war. My mom wasn't happy about this, and I'm not either, but it is his decision and he can do whatever he wants to do. All I can do is support him all the way.

Also my grandfather's son is in the army and is in Afghanistan..

HI My borther is in afghanistan there too
 
not me.. I don't have any relatives that are goin to war yet.. :roll: but my uncle did went to vietanm war in 1966 and came back home I think 1968... I don't remmy the whole story but eh.. but right now no but my bro is 18 if stupid prez bush start draft to send them to war but for now war is OVER but it's really not over cuz need to rebuild the county there and all that
 
My brother in law is in Kuwait as a helicopter mechanic.
 
my sister is a topographical engineer stationed in kuwait :/ shes 20.
 
Amazing how many people's relatives are in the army. I think it is such a sad thing. :(
 
My bro tried, but failed to enter army :) thank god! he's 31, they refuse to let him join cuz of his history in past.. been bad boy.
 
None of my relatives have gone into the army during the War in Iraq and other conflicts. The only one was my grandfather - my mum's father, he went to Vietnam for a short while. He never talked about it whilst I was growing up and never got a chance to hear about it as he passed away when I turned 6.
 
no relatives are currently serving or had served in Kuwait -- but do have a cousin who served in the Desert Storm and a few relatives who had served in Vietnam, WW1&2, Korea wars
 
I know four people over there including a cousin who'll be home soon.
 
All of my relatives are retired so nothing in my family go there since Vietnam war...
 
HELLO My young brother Angel is in the IRAQ now. I am keeping pray about him to be safe and come home soon, I can't STAND IT! but he is all right and we always e mail to each other and my mother told me about him how he doing. It was very hard for my mother to deal with it and I been talk to her to make her feel better. That all i can say.

Yes, My Brother was at IRAQ Last Feb 2003 untill He comes back to USA Last October 2003. Guess what I was so so so so SURPRISED when He and his wife visited to see me but they did not telling me when they are coming to see me untill they wants to surpsied me last Sunday... Grrr but I have not seen him for more than eight yrs and finally seen him last sunday and It was so so glad to see him at LAST about times... He moved to Ga from Calif. He is a MARINE. He had been in the Sevice for more than twnety yrs... Oh I missed him all the yrs .. I will planning to see him anytimes this spring or summer and also I will seeing my son in SC and also My son is a MARINE.. too.... My Nephew was supposed to go IRAQ and my Cousin was supposed to go there but did not go there untill they will calling them to go there...

Thank god that My brother is sound safe and home at Last....
 
yes, my bro in law is in kiwuait and should be coming home earlier instead of
July. He was supposed to be home in July but not. If he is coming home in May, then my sister would not be able to see him until about feb 2005 something like that... I emailed him twice for sending pictures of my sister and sister's family that I took pictures of them with my digital camera. i pray that things get solved and peace for last then all troops come home for goodness. I babysitted sometimes for my sister's daughter and sometimes both her son too because her son is usually in at school. her daughter is pretty young. God Bless Us all to peace for goodness soon as possible.

Honestly, I don't know anyone in my family or friends that are in the war...But, My prayer goes out for all of your friends/families that are in the war... :ily:
 
I dont know him but I heard that one of my store's employees went to Iraq. He used to move shopping carts from the parking lot to the buidling. I would say he is about 19 or 20.
 
no relatives or friends currently are in the armed forces -- i have a cousin who has served a couple tours for Operation Desert Storm (1990 i think it was) for the Marines and some older relatives who has done tours for Vietnam, Korea and WW2

i personally think its time for our troops to return back to the USA
 
My brother in law James is in the U.S. Army since summer of 2001 and he is leaving to go to Iraq in June. I hope he will be ok. All I can do for him is pray to make sure he's ok.
 
I am of the troops and for the troops..May those in harms way come back to us.
