For me, I do have acne issue for 12 years and I went see the skin specialist yesterday. I had discussed with skin specialist about frustrated with acne issues. I cannot take daily oral antibiotic because of cause diarrhea and nausea, however temporarily oral antibiotic is okay for bacterial colds or serious infection but I cannot tolerate with side effect. :(

I'm not candidate for Accutane anymore because of history of depression issue so my doctor won't prescribe it.

I have to take shower at twice a day to wash the acne on face and body, and put antibiotic lotion after that at twice everyday until acne disappear. Sometime, I'm not in mood to take shower at twice.

Do you have any idea or remedies that dealing with acne issue that I can take shower at once instead of twice?

Hydrogen peroxide can really help. I think you can even buy it at Walgreens now already on a wipe.

puberty's still not done yet?

Some people's skins don't clear up until they're about 25. So technically, Jiro's not in the wrong for asking the question.

late bloomer

That means I have delayed puberty?

I'm fully grown up but my acne isn't gone yet, much on chest, trunk and back and much less on face.

I never suffered from acne but I do notice a difference in my skin if I don't drink much water, or if I drink a lot of other drinks instead. I suggest drinking a lot more water and cut down on sugary drinks.

I am in my 30s, and I still get acne. In my case, surgery stuff seems to cause acne outbreak, like ExR wrote. But, I find that taking fish oil tablets on a daily basis improves the skin.

I still break out and I am way pass puberty, some people have issues with acne all their life.

I am like you. I am 47 (gasp!) and still have problems with acne. They way I've been able to clear most of it up, I clean my face and neck twice a day with mint alcohol on cotton balls.

in your case- it's different. your acne is caused by stress.

and also significantly cut down on dairy products

I had stopped drink soda for 1 month in few months ago but it doesn't make any difference with my acne, also I'm hardly eat any of dairy products.

I found out from other forums and they said it is ok to take Accutane while you have depression issue, also make sure to seeking help if depression gets worse.

I haven't thought about that, if acne wash treatment is unsuccessful so I'm reconsider laser treatment or Accutane.
