I'm for legalization of marijuana, for over 21 years old.

Watch the California Ballot this November. I wouldn't be surprise legalize will happen, and I DO support legalize, tax and control. Illegalize them, criminals take advantage and blackmarketing which means pure criminal activity and that includes murders for those who aren't involved. Where is justice in there?

I personally support Marijuana legalization, this will choke cartels market for stronger drugs becuase not many would try stronger narcotics. I do not believe in gateway craps because this also includes ALCOHOL too, and howcome Alcohol is legal and it can be gateway to harder drugs too. Once Legalize marijuana, Cartel will have less revenue, would would end up spend less on technoology on smuggling because they would in end unable to afford due to lack of marijuana market. I also believes there are thousands of Cartels out there controlling the black market. Taking out a Cartel will give the territory to another cartel to take over and this is ENDLESS and will not change. Uncle Sam, WAKE UP, Will ya?

Isn't it time to legalize it and tax it so that government quit spending money on prisons for weed smokers and cut spending on enforcement for weed smokers, use these tax revenue to fight off harsher drugs like cocaine, crack, etc. Use that money to rehab, and support United States economy, we are now in screwed up economy.

Wake up! War on drug have proved a long glorious failure, time to let it go!

Legalizing marijuana will also help open up the hemp market considerably as well.

Actually, some believe the legalize and Tax philosophy fails. They believe the tax makes the legal stuff too expensive and the Cartel product remains the better option.

If that is so true, how could it possibly different than Alcohol? We had Mafia, Al Capone doing business bootlegging. Now where is black market for alcohol? Of course we got Moonshine but where are they? They seems to be non-exist, the effect will be same once marijuana legalizes.

Did you realize that Alcohol prohibitation during 1920's is exact same as what we are seeing in drug war? And once the alcohol prohibitation repel in 1932, the black market for alcohol dies down.

This is why I have changed my mind about the drug war. I was pro drug war in my twenties and during the last five years, I have reversed my position on the drug war.

Easy..... Cartels have been in the drug business for decades. They have a business model. The "Mafia" was winging it during prohibition....their business was a reaction. However. Bootlegged liquor still exists today.....bootlegged cigarettes as well

Across the board legalize? No.

Lessen the penalties for casual users (not dealers)? Yes.

Prescribe it for specific medical purposes under strict medical supervision? Yes.

Hit the big dealers and importers hard? Yes.

Legalize it all the way. If it were to be legalized it would be so cheap to buy considering how easy it is to grow. If I could put 10 plants in my back yard I would be able to grow enough so that I would never have to buy any. And that includes the winter months.

But that is what we do and it doesn't work
