Do you bury your own pet when they die?....

Yes. We have buried two Labradors and four cats in our backyard. :tears:

I had one of my dogs cremated, and the urn is in my bedroom.

Yes, I consider burying your pets really personal and gives enclosure rather taking it to the Vet...I have buried numerous of pets I've had in the past, usually I will bury them near a tree...once I even wrote a poem for a struggling baby kitten fighting for her life for a few days after birth...burying her with a name--Princess....

Creamates 3 dogs.. still have urn..

buried 1 cat..

Long time ago I believe we buried family dog when I was young

I never had a pet that die on me.. But, When I was younger we did had a dog, passed away but I am not sure if My dad ever buried it. :dunno:

My first pet was a dog. We gave it away so I don't know what happened to it. The second pet I had was a hamster. It died so my dad threw it away. The got a second hamster later and it died young so my dad flushed it since it was small enough. The third hamster I had died young, but I vaguely remember burying it in my back yard. After my second hamster, we got a dog. It died years later because of bone cancer... it was put to sleep because nothing else could have been done. I don't know what happened to it then. We got a puppy afterwards, but it didn't last long either. We had to put that to sleep as well. I also don't know what they did to that. Now, we've got two gay horny dalmations who stand around and hump each other all day long with their huge balls danging between their legs... ugh!

Gee i never heard of we cremated a pet. Only people can be cremated. I buried my cat in back of my house.and she has a little statue of a stone cat. :tears:

Yes, pets can be cremated. You can even make a special request to have the cremated remains put in a special container for you. My friend did that for her hamster.

i put them in toilet if they're a fish...

i put them in trash if they're lizard, etc...

the vet throw my dog away in trash when put her to sleep..

I've never buried a pet myself but my dad did once in our backyard...

Ive buried pet turtles in the past when I was a kid (2 turtles) , im not sure about my former cats when I was a kid

I've wanted to bury, but I don't think I could handle it...so Mike usually disposes of the dead pet. At least, that's what we did with our cat last year, year and a half ago. We put her by a tree in a wooded area. This is what Mike said he did, anyway...I was too upset to deal with anything at the moment, and Mike didn't want the kids to get worked up...so he took care of it before they woke up. (She died at 6am) Then, together, we told the kids that she didn't make it - and took it from there. Any pet we've had before this was either given away or released.

i wasnt allowed to bury pets in my backyard when i was growing up :(

when i was a kid growing up the county where i grew up in had laws that didnt allow it (and still dont) and growing up with a dad who was a cop makes it a bit challenging -- i knew of a pet cementary within the county when i was older but my folks wont pay for a burial when i was a kid

growing up in the mostly rural parts i think is easier to bury pets than in the more suburban/urban parts

Hmmm....I don't know if there is a law about burying pets in our subdivision. I never asked. We just buried them in the backyard without asking permission. It is our own backyard, and we buried them very deep and wrapped up, so I don't think it is a problem. :dunno:

Yes. My family buries our own pets and we also bought a lot at the pet cemetery and bury them there. We already buried our 1 dog, 1 turtle, and two cats at the pet cemetery. My aunts and grandparent also buried their pets there. So we have bunch of family pets buried at the pet cemetery.
