But!!!! Say you pay your insurance for a year and a half, that's $180, then you break your phone. So you have to pay $100, maybe $200 for the deductible to get a new phone.
If you'd kept your last phone you could have saved yourself $280-$380 by just having your old phone hook backed up.
Obviously this only works if just get a new phone as an upgrade, not because your old phone is broken.
Like I just go an iPhone 5, it's no skin off my back to hang into my 4, just in case. Nothing will probably happen to my 5 before I upgrade again. But it's no big deal to chuck in my sick drawer and not have to pay insurance.
