Yes, exactly. I assume that is why TLC is such a good school......Overall, virtually ALL deaf schools have students that have been there since preschool. But unfortunatly due to the mentality that deaf schools (both oral and sign using) should be a last resort placement, most students at Deaf Schools are kids who did not exactly thrive in the mainstream. This has been true since the '90's.....That's b/c there's huge pressure on parents to mainstream, and they may not even KNOW about the option of Deaf Schools, or that there are some decent ones, or that they are hoh friendly or a multitude of other reasons.
