Disrespectful Principal ... *shake my head*

 Sounds like your boys got a principal from hell. I'll tell that principal to stick it where it shines, and what he did was very disrespectful. I'll give him hell if I were you. ;)

*nodding* he is a definitely uneducation and ignorant person...... Principal :rl: Liebling

Wow...that's awful! Iam sorry that u had to put up with his BS!!!

*nodding disguistly* Why should we put up with that disrespectful and ignorant person...

Teacher and a principal at the same time???

I'm afraid yes... The reason why we against it totally.

I hope u can get everything resolved soon!!!

Hugs for having to go thru all that stress! Iam glad u had the other agencies supporting u. Whew!

:ty:

It was totally unethical for the principal to expect you to use your son as an interpreter for the meeting. There is no way that is allowed.

*nodding* he should show his respect on my wish for not want my son to be our interpreter because my son should consider his education first than worry to be interpreter.

The children can interprete for their parents if they really want to... The Agency pay them as "non-certified" Interpreter but we were being recommend to order neutral interpreter instead of use our children as interpreter when there're important meeting like lawyer, doctor, parental meeting, etc. I never use my son as interpreter but he want it himself.. A lot of parents including me disagree to use their children as interpreter. My son like to be interpreter as his "jobbing" when he end his school education but he do twice to earn to improve his pocket money. I told him to consider his education first then he can do whatever he like to. My son and my friend's daughter interpreted each other for us at outing trip with deafies group at Bavaria Studio last year because he want it. The Chairman of Deaf Club paid them.

I don't know what laws Germany has that are similar to the USA ADA. I hope you do have something similar that you can use.

Yes I mentioned in my response posts to others that we have Integration Adviser for discrimination and social human rights violations and school authority here in Germany. It's our first step is go to Intergration Adviser to collect the legal rights... Perhaps they do everything for us? Wait and see.

I want to be sure I understand something. Do you mean the interpreters must have at least four weeks advance notice for an appointment?

not "must" but "should".

For Agency "should"/"recommend" and for me "must".

The agency suggest at conference to notify her 4 or more weeks before date appointment because it's easy for her to look for interpreters to near their area because of save mileage cost... or easy for her to fulfill their wishes for pick which interpreters. Perhaps no interpreters if we order too close date notice? Keep mind, we don't have many interpreters around. We aware that it's no obligation but recommenation and agree with her suggestion on this.

For me "must" because I want my wish interpreter to be here for us. Example: We ordered Interpreter for Danny's confirmation of next month last year. She notifed us last December that she can't make it so I notifed Agency to reserve the interpreter for us on 22nd April at Danny's confirmation.

Now you see, that Agency is sour that she can't get Interpreter for us three times because of that close date, the Interpreters have no times...

I am surprised as I learned from Danny yesterday that some of his friend's parents are sour because of close date to attend parental evenings. Normally they should be inform 2 weeks before parental evenings, not 2 or 3 days.

Please keep all the letters, faxes, reports, etc., so you will have proof to support your case.

Of course, we keep all the fax, letters and emails... :ty: for your advice.

That's so sad that your sons have a principal who is not sensitive to the communication needs of Deaf parents.

*nodding sadly*

Most of the principals and counselors I have worked with are very caring of Deaf parents, and try very hard to satisfy their needs for interpreters. They let them take all the time they need during a meeting, and they document all meetings.

Yes, that's exactly! We have deal with my sons' kindergartens, teachers and principal, counsellors, CPS, Social workers etc. for years like that, they made extras for us until a new principal come.....

I hope Danny gets a chance to experience Bosch. That's an important worldwide company. We have a Bosch plant a few miles from my house. They employ many people.

:ty:

Yes, the Bosch company is the famous in the worldwide, that's place where my hubby work for over 20 years. It's our opinion, that Danny should work there but Danny wish to work at US Government where I work. I told Danny to experience Bosch this July first then I will check with Council Work either US Army have work experience for Danny or not?

I hope this awful experience doesn't upset your health. Please try to keep calm, take a soothing bubble bath by candlelight, and enjoy a quiet evening with your hubby.

:ty:  I'm okay now... It calm me down... I should take your advice to have a relax bath with candlelight....:hmm: We should do that this weekends :hmm:
I was :pissed: almost all the day after that happeend and ranted to my co-workers then go off to swimming to get out of my mind.... then go home but it didn't help much... relax bath with candlelight...:hmm:

Wow, first I would like to say good vent Liebling, glad you feel a little better ...

I'm really sorry that you and your family are experiences this terrible treatment from the principal, and I agree with you that there should be a teacher in his classroom instead of having the principal taken over a classroom when he barley unable to make it for a lot of reason, where the teaching in all of this?....and for interpreter, very sad to hear he's being so stubborn over this..I agree with Cheri, you got a principal from hell :smh:..

I also agree with Reba here, take a nice bubble bath , and have a couple glasses of wine

:ty:

That's why we are going to find out with the help from legal rights. We against that a principal have both jobs as principal and teacher on the same time.

Yes I will take Reba's advice... :thumb:

WHOA!

i cant believe this story but becareful against this principal and you get hires this interpreter to principal what you saying i know that aint easy for that!

my parent never against principal before but its nice my old principal can sign and needs interpreter for special occasion like graduation or whatevers and mostly parents never blame for that

Yes we have an interpreter here with us to fight with Principal. Why should I becareful to against Principal when he insulted us as neglect parents? And why he said that it's not his problem for hire Interpeter but should use Danny then? This is a disrespectful.

We would show our respect if they fix school rules or whatever but his action toward us as parents are very disrespectful.

Liebling,

Can you be able to report him to the board of education?

Liebling,

Can you be able to report him to the board of education?

Yes I did mention "School Authority" (British language for US langauge "board of education") in my previous posts.

We were recommend to see Integration Adviser for discrimination and social human rights violations first before contact School Authority. I said in my previous post that my hubby will check with lawyer of legal on 30th March.

Update

I learn from Danny last weekends that disrespectful Principal used to work as teacher for almost 20 years in other school in town before become Principal at countryside school where my both sons attend. He is the 3rd place of best teacher in the whole Bavaria... :eek3:

It look like that we will get poor chance if we report against him at Integration Adviser for discrimination and social human rights violations and School Authority (Education of Board).

Danny said that he feel that he might get "pressure" from Principal/teacher if we report against him. I stay firm and suggest him to change the school... I asked him to understand us please that we cannot work together with that disrespectful man. Its discriminate what he did to us... It cannot carry on like this. (We waiting for CPS)... Danny don't want to go few schools in town but prefer to stay countryside school... A mother, I know well - her son Beni and Danny are befriends since Kindergarten. She moved his son to Evangelist school (private school) from countryside school last January after struggled with Principal. I suggest Danny about Evangelist school where his friend Beni goes. He remind us that it's private school, we have to pay school fee ourselves. Yes we heard good reputation about Evangelist school for years... Danny is unsure about this...

I can understand him because of good envirnment at countryside school where he attend and suggest us to remain 8 Grade instead of step to 9 Grade after summer school holiday that he will get a new teacher. We told him that it make no difference because he is a Principal in his school... He can do what he wants. We ask him to think about this.

Until yesterday, Danny came to us and agree to go Evangelist school after visit Beni there and like there very much. I told him that we cannot promise to put him there until we are 100% sure and need to make an appointment with an Interpreter there to find out cons and pros... I know from Danny yesterday that school fee cost EUR 80 ($107) per month... We need to find out until everything are 100% clear then... Danny remind us that he won't go few schools where we suggest him.

My hubby said that he wants to move our both boys to Evangelist school, no matter what... We will try to work out with our finance matter to support our sons with private school.
