discussion or *yawn*

The registeration system needs a whup in the ass, and tighten it up, and the rules must state 'You must post once after you introduce yourselves or face consquences'

TAKE THAT! :whip:

I notice that many of the intro posts come in clusters. I suspect a sign language instructor assigns joining AD as an assignment for deaf culture involvement. It's like a field trip to the zoo. After the students prove that they've made their token post it's adios.

And we are raging animals in cages!!!

That's a side of Reba that I didn't know about. lol

Don't throw peanuts to the ADers in their exhibits.

Isn't that a different thread?

As a hearing person, it's really scary to open one's self to people that have been degraded by hearies all their life. Depending on how the person introduces themselves. The acceptance could be good or bad. Like Reba said I also believe that most are students and don't read the intro instructions. And they will unfortunately assume they will get help immediately and when they don't they simply leave cause they didn't get the immediate response.

Personally I found AllDeaf by accident. I am very glad I did.

I think a lot of people are scared off because of some members of AD are pretty harsh when they get asked questions by new members.

I will try to be polite and not sexually-menacing next time :aw:

I am glad too. I met you in person which is plus. ;)

Yea, sometimes, I dont feel like saying welcome to AD because I think around 90% of those people who introduce themselves dont return.

If you feel like not welcoming these people, don't bother. You know it, you have friends around to talk with instead ;)

Unless ad gets too quiet. Guess you have no choice but go to the introduce thread. lol.
