Diesel gas

Almost any diesel engine will run on biodiesel and you can buy the stuff for under 2 bucks a gallon.

Some of you thought that diesel is more expensive to operate than gasoline (only when operating, not including mantience costs)

Honda Civic 33 mpg gas price $4.37 per gallon= 13 cents per mile
Volkswagen Jetta diesel 46 mpg gas price $4.80 per gallon=10 cents per mile

Diesel may cost more, but still cheaper than gasoline on diesel car and trucks.

^^ diesel burns the gas slowly and lasts you longer than unleaded, correct me if I'm wrong.

very interesting point that you brought up!

I remember that diesel fuel is cheaper price than gasoline (petrol) in few years ago. but diesel fuel now is more $1.00 than gasoline. that s unfair. why? Many truckers were mad of high diesel price.

diesel is made differently from crude oil....demand for deisel has increased greatly but refinery capacity hasn't increased in last 30 years at least law of supply & demand.

it does not burn more slowly deisel burn their fuel more completely than gasoline cars...Deisels compress air soo much that it becomes hot and soon as fuel is injected it ingites under pressure and heat of the compressed air....

deisel rev (rpms) more slowly than gasoline engines but they put out tons of torque at slow rpm's torque is what makes car / truck move... not horsepowermore torque fast you can pull it or move... gas engines produce less torque..lot less..but more horsepower

Then it should be right --- convers you more mileage, I bet. :thumb:
