It's called enema, Yes, I know what you are talking about, You don't like it? They use it on you while you were in labor?? How come?

Actually, epidurals can cause death in rare cases. I know with my epidural I had with my twins, I died and it took them 30 minutes to get me back. Come to find out I was allergic to it. My son Natural and after 3 days he came. The doctor kept sending me home saying I wasn't in labor because the computer, you know the one that's supposed to measure contractions, said I wasn't. Last time I ever used that doctor. Needless to say at the height of my labor with my son when I pushed him out when they are supposed to registering really high, I pushed him out at a 10. He didn't take into effect I am a swimmer and the muscles were blocking an actual reading.
My girls were c-section due to pre-eclampsia, my blood pressure was sky high and they stopped my labor and delivered them 6 weeks early. :( Then it was off to the NICU. What fun. All 3 of my kids are NICU babies. :tears: But we made it through.

But between the both I prefer Natural!!!!!!!

I don't have epidurals when I had both boys.

Yes, they use it on me when I was in labor. First they "emptied to clean" in my body from butt... go to bathroom to rid of "dirt" out like "diareha" from my butt.... and then back to bath to reduce my labor pain. I had enema 3 times during 36 hours labor with Danny, have a bath dozens of times to reduce my pains, 17 transfions to break cm... it doesn't work so they have to deliver Danny out with the help from c-section. It would risk my or Danny's life when pain labor reach 40 hours. After it's over... I was totally broke and get other transfions to improve my energy for one week.

Same with Alan but it's only once and go to bath to reduce my pains few times then 5 and half hours later I had Alan.

With my 2 sons - I can tell you that the epidural is like the best thing ever made! With my oldest, I had 8 hours of labor and I had to be induced because I was 5 days over due. When they put the epidural in me, they hooked the catherer to my lower back (where the epidural injection was located at) to the machine to control the dosage. I felt NOTHING at all and it was a great feeling. It was funny because the fetal monitor was showing that my contraction level was way off and the nurse was asking me if I had felt anything at all? I said nope and I only could imagine how I could felt if there was no epidural.

Whereas with my 2nd son, Oh god, It was a huge difference. I had arrived at the hospital after having the pain in my lower back. Again, my 2nd one was 5 days overdue as well. When the doctor did the inspection and said I was 5 cm dilated due to arrival. I was like WHAT?! 5 cm already?! He was like, Yep you're gonna have the baby today. I was bitching all through the labor because the doctor had put the epidural in me and it did not even work at all! I remember that I kept thinking "Oh god, It hurts like hell" And I asked for the epidural again. So they put it in me for the 2nd time. Again, it did not even work at all. So, They end up giving me demerol and I didn't like the demerol because I was in and out for the rest of the labor but the pain was still so unbearable and the contractions was getting stronger by every minute. So yeah, You could say that I FELT everything and so natural. All I know is that, I was screaming so loud and squeezing my ex husband's hand so hard that he was actually cringing.

I don't think I would want to go through a natural birth ever again. I'd stick to the epidural all over again.

I've had a epdurial done before even though I didn't give birth. It's personal reasons and it does hurt at first but then before you know it everything is numb! It anit all that bad!

im just think about epdurial if i wanted that one or not because i have history of sezuire and medical problems also but i wanted to deals with doctors if says yes or no! i know epdurial really PAINS for that!

i have thinking about my future for c-section because i have history of sezuire and medical problems.Because vaginally birth would getting PAINS for that but i wanted my suggestion with c-section i know scars really pains for that.

im wishes my mom would hold me with epdurial but im dont like getting sharp with that one! i have low back pains last June 2005

I had great plans for natural, water birth, home birth, all that..But my daughter wouldn't come out after 36 hours so emergency C-section but they gave me epidural injection twice so I was numb from neck down! Freaky!
My son refused to come out too so i was induced (painful unnatural labour) and had epidural and forceps delivery and episiotomy.
Thank God both healthy and well that's all I cared in the end, but I 'm amazed how many women now elect c-section (esp celebrities)- it's no picnic recovering from the surgery!

They gave me one enema when I first checked into the hospital. That was before I had any labor pains. (My water broke, so that's why I went to the hospital.) My labor pains started, after the enema.

That's the only time in my life that I had an enema, and I'm 55 years old.

We have enema to ..yes one to get rid of the toxics from our bodies via the buttholes.

Second: None of us wanna go pooping on the tables when giving birth in either c-section or natural birth. Ewwwwww. :D

So it's wise to have an enema in us prior to birthing. I have one epidural injection prior to my son's arrival. No novocain or anything to numb it before they inserted an epidural injection-tube. You gals are lucky to have something to numb it first. I didn't feel anything on my back when they inserted it. Bow my body down.

Side effect: Permanent spinal headaches when doing a sit-up so I'm using Ablounge..that's sucks. I don't think migraine has anything to do with it (I have that migraine since I was 8 years old and it's not related to epidural though). :( Oh, what's the heck! I'll get another epidural whenever if I get another child... <sigh> Maybe,...maybe no more kids..maybe... I dunno. ;)

The first child I have, I went thru an emergency c-section due to her low oxygen and heart-rate...but she survived after gettin' out of my tummy while I was KOed by the sleeping potion of the injection. Grrrr! There wasn't a time for an epidural. Sad but luckily, she's alive and normal.
