Thanks SmileyGin, I appreciate it!
Welcome!

Thanks SmileyGin, I appreciate it!
Welcome!to make you feel better just think she is in a better place. She was suffering for a while but now she is free from pains and is watching over us. We will see her again when its our time to go. Ok. :\
She was only 40, I think.
Yes, I am still going for my CI surgery on Wednesday. I know I am so going to be all over my surgeon's ass about this....I am gonna tell him to be so fucking careful not to fucking overdose...I'm more nervous because of this! But I am not going to let this stop what I want to do, and besides, I want to get this over with so I won't be so nervous about it for long.
Thanks, though.
When I read the post I had the same sentiment "if I decide to get a CI... what if?" I also went over the thoughts of railing out a doctor to becareful beforehand (I'm deaf solely because of a screw up at the hospitil so I have abit of paranoia with doctors and modern medicine. I refuse to even take asprins.. ). I was thinking if I was too rude maybe they'd purposefully do a sloppy job so I'm just going to be nice and try to show them that I'm a decent person that they don't want to 'accidently' kill :| Good luck with your CI op'.
Does she have a daughter name Tawny or dawn?? something like that..
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend smileygin and lucid.. that has to be hard!
No, I think her daughter's name is Cassie, also deaf.
Thank you, RebelGirl.
okay.. i'm thinking of someone else.. but again.. i'm sorry that had to happen to her. that's also a scary thought too.. going under anesthia (sp) and not knowing what could happen..
Cheryl was weak and sick already as she have bone disease and other problems. It was her time to go. Lucia, you are healthy. The doctor have alot of experiences with Ci surgery as he told you he have over 300 surgeries to date. So think positive and you will be ok.![]()

does doctor give her bit too much pills till it got killed?
No, they gave her too much anesthesia in her IV...they gave her 1 dose...she didn't fall asleep like she was supposed...2nd dose...still awake...3rd...still awake...4th..then she had heart plm cause of that...too much damage to her heart already, coma, etc. That's what one of the deafies at bowling told me exactly.
I had 3 of my best friends taken from me(what it felt like ) within a year. All of them were in car crashes. 2 crashed and i pray to god they did not feel a thing when the truck caught on fire. The other was to be my maid of honor when I get married one day which ended on a curvy road on a rainy day. It was hard too understand to me just being told; I could not imagine what you are going through. I am an ASL student trying to become a translater one day, but not just that----I want to understand deaf culture and your feelings and teach hearing people to respect and admire the courage that the deaf community faces everyday. If you need any support I maynot be much, but I am here to listen.
Thank you, Austyn. I am sorry to hear that about your friends. I've already lost 3 other people close to me this year so far, my foster father and my little brother drowned in a snowmobile accident on Christmas, and my great-grandmother passed away from pneumonia a few days after Christmas. Cheryl is the 4th person. *sighs* So I know how that is.
