According to the lead sentence of the linked story, she was sentenced to life in prison. She did not get a death sentence so there will be no execution.
 
Yes, I do recall few years ago about this story in South Dakota. Its very sad story.

Every story I Googled on Daphne Wright came up with a date of Feb or April 2007. Check the date and if it's old news post it as old news that you never saw before.

It's new news to me , I must had miss this story on the news . And I joined up on 2009 and wouldn't had seen the thread made in 2007. And this is getting old you keep say this is old news.

It's old news but popped up on my news feed....and yea, I did comment when someone else posted it...but didn't remember that I did!...:giggle:....Anyhow, I posted it as if she would have been executed, she would have been the 1st deaf that was.....(as per the article on that date). So I felt it was newsworthy.

We all get "grumpy" at times...even I...so it's no problem!

Yeah, I have hoped for and felt relieved that she didn't get execution. Now she is suffering with her own consequences, years and years being lonely waiting to get natural death. Justice is Justice.

Your right, its never old news, this is good way to spread awareness that its NOT worth to take somebody's life no matter how bad it was. If one thinks of killing somebody, without the exposure of others conviction and punishment, they will likely go ahead anyway which in turn Justice failed to prevent another crime.

In geological time or ..mmmmm....well time is just a human invention anyway....regardless i suppose...
Id reckon a decade or so, isnt much considered current.
In the west anyway....
But it doesnt much matter, in the end, we are all electrons passing through the cables a wise wizard onced chimed...
