How many of you have friends who goes to an Ivy League school? You know, I've never actually met and became friends with a deaf someone that goes to an Ivy League college until this past summer.

Elyse introduced me to a friend of hers, and she happens to go to Brown University, studying history I believe. I also had the chance to meet her parents at some Country Club, and they're all really cool people, ya know, unlike others who get all conceited and obnoxious. Heh.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys have deaf or hard of hearing friends that go to Ivy League schools. And if you do, tell us a little about them. :)

Exact what are Ivy League colleges? How do I know which one is which? Are there any specifics? Based on student population? I never was told about those Ivy League thing but heard about it, thought it was just like metaphor or something. Please clear this up, heh! At least someone is learning. We learn EVERYDAY whenever you notice it or not:)

Ivy League schools are Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, and Yale.

My best friend attended at Columbia University for master's degree, my childhood friend from deaf school currently attends at Harvard University, and my former classmate from elementary through High school attends at Penn State.

Alina??

I graduated from Harvard University and then
I also graduated with top honors from
St. Elizabeth Mental State Hospital.

Ivy League schools
ALL the Ivy League is, is an althletic conference. Being an Ivy League school, doesn't mean that it's one of the best in the world...it just means that it's a part of that athletic conference.
Not surprised that there are some Deafies at BU...BU has a Deaf studies program as I recall.

Well, old and expensive are what are I think of Ivy League. Though some famous people went there. But that doesn't mean prestigious. Harvard and Yale might have the nation's best law schools but for computer technology that would be Stamford, Berkeley, or MIT.
