:pissed: Darn it!...I hate it when men are smarter than women... :o

nnnnnhhhhhmmmmmm uhhhhh!!! :nono: Never never say men are smarter than women!!! We have plenty of smart women here! First of all, We know that cental is a relay operator, if he does that, someone can file a complaint by using the # of the relay operator. When they find who did it.. buh bye! We'll never know who they are but if we happen to have the RO # and its cental.. then we'll know for sure it was him that put us on mute :giggle:

but I wouldn't do that unless it really does happen..

Thought: If ADA mandates that facilities be accessable to deaf people, wouldn't not having a TTY or some other mechanism for deaf people to communicate available in the elevator violate ADA?

Well I was stuck in elevator for 2 and half hrs between 10th and 11th floor at Tower A at RIT.. they had to call firefighters to come to open the elevator.

There was like 9 boys and 2 girls (me and my roommate). It was not very pleasant experience. we all were DEAF! haha... it got really hot in elevator and the firefighters could pry the doors open a bit and let us know what is going on....finally managed to get the doors open. some of us had to go to the bottom floor and some went on top...

I went on top. I was so worried if elevator just dropped and cut my body in half! while we were waiting the whole time, we just sat down, talked calmly and kept each other company and who they are etc. I was only freshman there at RIT/NTID. Boys were from KPT. Nice boys... I never forgot that day and that is how I became Clausphobic. OH well. it is no fun at all.

Yikes! Quite an experience! :eek2:

:eek2: :dizzy:

The worst I experienced with those elevators in Tower A were things like the elevator stopping and opening the doors when it was a few inches off from the floor and also me getting my fingers stuck in the outer doors from the outside and the inner doors from the inside. I also felt big bumps and shaking once or twice when the elevator was moving. One time I saw one of the elevators stuck with its doors open on the first floor and people were stupid enough to go into it and wait for it to go up, so I told them that it was stupid and that the elevator was broiken.
The elevators in Sol's don't get filled up as often when I use them. When they do, the elevator says it's overloaded, but moves anyway.

ehhhhhhh this happened to me here in hawaii
STUPID elvator got stuck cldn't go up cldn't go down so im like oh no this isn't happening...

X mas party and my pager worked JUST fine.. got lucky so i had to call the interp that was on the floor and told her what was going on, and turns out the wiring was fucked up... ughh so lucky us only 2 story but had to help a gal down with her wheelchair we got stuck for an hr i was soo irriated and so we went thru that and dealt with that...

well turns out faulty wiring and cable wasn't moving right that also resulted in getting that stupud elevator on * susepnsion* ehhhhhh

anyway we waited 2 hrs talked and talked and i used my IM to talk to poeple letting them know im ok and blah one of the community leader decided to e mail a story
and im like come the fuck? so he tried to scare me in the elevator so i got out and beeliened to him and slapped him on the arm said NICE going u tryingto scare me LOL

we got out fine.. the had to put the elevator OUT of ORDER! eh

and last but not the least im not usinf that elevator AGAIN

I didn't have like this before. I can image what if I stuck in an elevator. All what I do is press red button "Alarm" and make a monkey voice to speak "help" "help" or I'm deaf... :D

I haven't touch elevator since my children were babies... (we need elevator because of pram...) I rather to use stairs than elevator... My hubby & children use elevator mostly.

:ugh: I hate to ride in an elevator. A few years ago, One of my sisters and I got in an elevator going up to the third floor. Somehow, it got stuck between the 2nd and 3rd floors. We got scared real bad. The lights went off. I couldnt see or hear whats going on. I couldnt move because I was in my wheelchair. It was awful experience. It gives me panic attack every time when I ride in an elevator.

I got stuck in the elevator couple of time. I just push the emergency button. The fire department and campus police department will response to this elevator calls. It was scary moments.

I once did got stuck in elevator once at MSSD dorm. We were not supposed to use it for many various reason. We had stairs to use.
Once we got stuck, what we did is to pry door open. We had to becuz one of my friends was going to pass out due to panic. Plus we did not want to get into trouble back then.. What we saw was that half of them were already half way down on 2nd floor, we climbed out safely and fled. I know its not good idea to do those things. But I would suggest you all to make lots of noises, press on emergency button, do all those things what you can do to attract some attention to this. Sometimes elevator would have non working emergency button so sometimes we just can't do anything till people comes to us to help us out.. Sigh not everything will work out successfully at all. :dunno:
