Which car is more deaf friendly? We are thinking about trading in our van to something else. we spent over $4,000 this year alone on fixing that van and we had enough.

We are thinking of hyundai tuscun because we have alot of yardwork and we don't want a truck but something with tow hitch. I like their warranty because our 2002 van is around 64k- 65k and it is giving us problem already.

Windstar. It had axle issues, fuel pump burn out and this time the coil went bad with other issues. It still doesn't feel right after they fixed it i so I have a feeling another problem is coming along and I just don't want to deal with it, especially with mechanics who may take advantage of me. I rather hand the van over to people who are more experience dealing with mechanics and cars. The cost to fix the van is higher than cars in my opinion.

if you want a deaf friendly car does that mean you want a sound system with ass thumping bass?

I mean more visual signal. Most cars just use sounds. I guess I shouldn't worry about that.

If you are looking for a car that will display a lot of info on what's happening, get a BMW or Mercedes. They have a bazillion electronic gadgets that cost $$$$ if they break.
Simple is better IMHO.
p.s. The Hyundai Tucson has a tow rating of only 1500lbs if I recall. The 2010 Santa Fe/ Kia Sorentos have a 3500lb rating. Most medium-sized SUVs with V-6 engines have a 3500lb rating.
And, just a heads-up, you need to have proof that you followed the maintenance schedule of your cars in order to keep the warranty valid. It is a fine print in most warranty contracts. I know one guy that took his van in when the engine & trans seized, and it was under warranty. Mechanics opened up the engine and said there was very little oil and heavy sludge because he did not change the oil after 25K miles. He had to pay for all repairs.
hyundai beats nissan hands down. hyundai engines are so good that ford buys them
