I was pondering in my sleep deprived yet caffiene fueled brain, while eating some delicious chinese food.... Why don't we have deaf food? We're a culture too.

If we were to pick a particular food or style of cooking, I wonder what it would be?

Beef because you can't hear the cows crying as you kill them.

Potatoes for me. My speciality. I'm quite good with freshly made potatoes. Speaking of which, I need to see if I can find a few.........

Foods sold in coffee shops, a traditional gathering place.

Salmon for deaf cats. Chicken for deaf dogs. Hamburger and hot dog for deaf people who have big ego bragging about their turbocharged engine.

Deaf culture does not have any one country people came from , but I do eat a lot of popcorn being eaten around here so how about 'popcorn'?

I hope you have some ground turkey burgers and veggies burgers too. Now I am getting hungry for my lunch .

Because Deaf is a subculture of the larger culture it's involved in.

Deaf isn't really an equivalent of say French or Italian, etcetera cultures. It's a culture within a culture.

Subculture, but yeah, I agree with you entirely.
