HE is the dog nobody wants.

One hundred and fifty days have passed since deaf Staffordshire bull terrier Noddy was one of four dogs dumped at the Hampshire Blue Cross Centre in April.

After an appeal in the Daily Echo, readers came forward to home the other three, leaving only Noddy unclaimed.

Lara Alford, manager of the centre, in Bubb Lane, West End, said: “It is heartbreaking to see him overlooked by people while all his friends in the kennels find new homes.

“We are so proud of how much he has learnt and we know that, with the right owner, he could be a wonderful companion.”

The Blue Cross will not put down an animal because it cannot find a home, but Noddy faces being sent to another centre.

Despite being deaf, Noddy has already learnt good basic training and recall through the use of sign language, picking things up as quickly as any other dog, learning to sit, stay, come, fetch and twist.

Ms Alford said Noddy is an affectionate sociable dog, who loves people, but can be boisterous and needs clear boundaries so would be best suited to a home where he is the only pet and a couple or a single adult without children.

Aw! The dog is so CUTE and I wish I can adopt but I have two kids in the house. I will let my friends know if they are interested to have Noddy. Thank you for letting me know!

Uggh, this make me angry! He is trained. Is that not what any human owner want? No, he broken because he do not hear!

Feel like this media release is about 'us' and how we are rejected for being broken. Sorry, bring up stuff.

Can puppy come to Canada? I'll gladly take him!!!
