I forgot to tell everyone how my night went Tuesday! We went to an Italian place here to eat, I was a little nervous going because I didn't know anyone but someone was waiting for me right when I got there. It was so very nice of her and then she took me back to the group and everyone was soooo nice and welcoming. It was funny because everyone kind of waited for me to say something (Im not sure they knew if I knew how to sign or not, lol) They were real happy to know I did, lol I had a great time though and this Saturday I will be going to Deaf club and Deaf church on Sunday.

I feel so much better knowing that I have a place in my "new life" :aw:

That's wonderful! It is such a reasurrance and a comfort to discover an entire community of people who share so many things in common. I'm very happy for you.

awwwwwww!!! I am SO glad that they DID make you feel SO warm welcome! That's SO awesome!!! Let's see how it goes with your new life but stay with the old life too, just to balance your time between them. Yay!

How excellent!! :D Where does the club meet? Well, you have a great time!

That's great, candybrowneyes. :)

I need to get back in the game - I mean I have been around hearing people like 90-percent of the times.

That's wonderful news!! I'm so glad for you :D Everybody welcomed you with open arms which is also good! Looks like you made yourself some new friends, which is important because you feel like you belong with them. Just don't forget about your "old" friends ;)

Thanks for letting us know how it went!

 Jamie
