Deaf cyclist needs advice.

Garmin's Varia view radar that can alert cyclists when traffic behind they is getting close. The radar picks up cars or trucks at 153 yards (140 meters) and can track multiple targets as they approach. The tail light also warns approaching vehicles to a cyclist ahead.

Deaf cyclists can't hear and see cars or trucks s coming in rear. Alert help deaf cyclists.
 
Sorry if I bumped almost a year old thread.

I've been riding road bicycle for 2 years (mostly on bike trails). I never had any issue with other bicycle.

After reading whole thread and it got me wanted to ask some questions.

Using the mirror(s) - wouldn't it be bit distracted? I have never tried that.

The decal/patch "deaf biker" - Aren't you bit concern about people taking advantage of you or an easy target for any crime?

I did not read the whole thread, but I use handlebar mirrors, its very helpful, more helpful that distracting.
