Deaf Cat Road Sign!!!!!

Its true! I have seen those signs right here in New York area...
I also have seen "Deaf child in area" signs too!
Its no joke either...

Cute .. but often many hearing kids and animals get hit by the vehicles. I would put up a sign - Warning Hearing children at play. lol .. or ADHH at play or Redheaded kids at play and so on .....

There is a sign near my parents' home. It says "Slow Deaf Child" -- it is insulting bec it tells me there is a SLOW (Retarded) Deaf Child in that area. I knew that Deaf kid Jamie back then. He is a grown adult and has moved away. Again .. There is another one up the street "Slow Deaf Person" sign is nearby too! I am sure many people think that our mind go backward! Sigh .... Both are still there as I come to visit my parents weekly.

Didn't know they have one for deaf cat! I only wonder if it does work in this case. Many deaf cats and dogs are usually kept safe in the house or the yard.

Really?? where in NY??

In Western New York...Like outside of Buffalo, in those little villages
as we drive thru...im surprised you dont see those but you probably
dont see very many signs like that. We live out in the country and
we saw a "Deaf cat area" out here..it was cute, haha.

Oh its in UpState NY okay. I am from Long Island. Thanks

I've seen several warning signs like Moose crossing, deer crossing, or other few animals crossing signs. But, I don't see a sign that says "Turkey crossing" We do have wild turkeys are roaming all over the place.

yeah... usually it is pure white with blue eyes cats are deaf... i had one.. i raised him from about 2 weeks old.... when he was fully grown.. he escaped from indoor.. got run over by car... I was heartbroken... had to bury him in the back yard...

I have a white cat BUT she have green eyes. Shes hearing!! ;)

I don't think that a "deaf cat" sign is really necessary. A normal "Cat Crossing" sign would be good enough. There are hearing cats that respond the same as deaf cats. Plus, deaf cats still have super-sensitive paws and whiskers that help them be aware of their surroundings.

Why dont u spray paint over "slow" with black paint on the sign and then spray paint "smart, sensitive, humorous, and best" in white over the black paint? LOL! :giggle:

Maybe cuz the state want us to hit and kill turkeys so they can sell them around Thanksgiving. :eek3:

That would be nice. I asked my husband what happen if we hit the turkey? He told me to take it home and he'll take care of the rest. Oh BTW, he's the hunter and goes deer hunting. He's never tried turkey hunting or moose hunting.
