Deaf Bikers: What do you ride?

lol!!! wow I would have made same mistake as Tousi. thought it was a trike.

After I read that I asked TCS to look at the original avatar picture without telling him anything about it. I asked him what it was. He said that it looked like a 1964/65 Corvette Stingray, and probably had a 427 engine in it, due to the screen name.

He was surprised after when I showed him that it was a model. He was very impressed by the detail involved, especially in the engine compartment.

Thanks. You should see my other models. I stopped building them when 'life' got in the way. When the kids are out of the house and the wife stops bugging me, I will get back into the hobby.

I sold my last 2 bikes before I moved overseas...

2 days before my flight left, at a massive loss. For the uneducated, this is a turbocharged GSXR-1000 I had built in Ohio.

I've also owned 2 other Hayabusas, a couple of CBR 900+'s, a Bandit 12, Duke and about a dozen other assorted bikes. I also used to write for Motorcycle Street and Strip magazine and have tested all sorts of bikes from the MV Augusta to strange one-off motorcycles to Ducatis.

A few months after moving here, I made the mistake of suggesting that we pick up a cheap moped for around-town errands. I nearly thought she was going to divorce me for saying such a thing. I certainly did not get "some" that night. She said that those little silly things were for limp-wristed people who did not know how to ride or handle real power. Sorry moped lovers...

She wants me back on a Hayabusa or at a minimum, a 1000cc bike. I do have to admit that the new 1000cc BMW is growing on me. Maybe, maybe not. :hmm: Hawaii is not very biker-friendly so I'm in no rush.

Indeed Reba. I do wonder if it's legal to pile triplets into a sidecar though... :D
I'm sure the hospital staff would really love that as we all headed for home after delivery. :giggle:
