Dead dog in ice block

At least post what happened to the dog.

The dog was already dead before it was frozen. The dog himself appeared to be well-cared for The injuries is consistent with being in a fight with another dog, coyote et cetera.

I am thinking because Dawson Creek isn't far from where I used to live, it was a dog that wandered off, got killed by a coyote, then someone else found the carcass and decided to play a sick joke on someone he knew.

The dog was already dead prior to being frozen. The dog had puncture wounds, more likely from a fight. Not only that, all of its intestines were missing.

I'm thinking, maybe some coyotes or wolves attacked the dog. Then somebody froze the dog... why? I don't know. That's the mystery.

Tasteless joker. The owner should have taken care of his dog. Seems he must not even have looked for it if some freak got the body and did that to it.

Honestly, I think it was the coyotes and then some idiot thought it might be funny to freeze the body.

I think so too. But I don't understand why the owner wasn't looking for the dog.

Because Dawson Creek is quite rural. My parents live two hours away from it. It's not uncommon for a dog to pack up, leave an acreage and move to a house down the road. A family friend of ours in Fort John had a Shiba Inu for five years-- it was free to roam the countryside. One day the Shiba didn't come back, they looked for it and couldn't find it. They thought someone shot it-- thinking it's a fox or something. Three years later, they found their Shiba Inu at their neighbhour's lot only 20 minutes drive away. The neighbours had him for three years. The family friends in question left the dog behind at their neighbour's place since it seems content to stay there.

Farm dogs.

Sound like coyote. When wild animals attack and eat bigger animals, they tend to go for soft tender parts first. Intestine would be perfect for that.

However who turned the dog into a Lassie Popsicle... I hope they get disemboweled and placed in the ice themselves!

UGH! Great now, I have to get out of my warm cozy bed to go outside in the fog to check the surrounding for any sign of coyote as I live right by a very large park and forest and landlord have two dogs I love to pieces!

We don't know the reason for this, but people are known to do odd things. For instance, In the ol' days, it was the norm for people to take pictures of their dead relatives. That's not the weird part, the weird part is that they were posing in the pictures.
