Deemed Safety Risk By Flight Crew

Dave Chappelle is used to bringing down the house, but this is something else entirely.

A plane traveling from New Jersey to Ohio made an emergency landing Friday night after the comedian was deemed a safety risk.

Chappelle reportedly refused to buckle his seat belt and repeatedly entered the cockpit during the flight. At one point, sources say the 36-year-old funnyman grabbed the pilot's arms.

The pilot diverted the jet to Pittsburgh after deciding Chappelle was a safety risk.

According to the comedian's rep, Chappelle had wanted to use the bathroom after eating something bad, but the toilet on board didn't suit his needs.

After landing in Pittsburgh, the former "Comedy Central" star reportedly checked into a hotel where he told employees he wanted to rent a car to drive back home to Ohio, but couldn't remember his address.

Sounds about right for him. He lives about 25 min drive from my house. Everyone around here knows to stay away cause he is a prick

wondering why wasn't he arrested and why wasn't cockpit door locked.

I googled it and found another site that said it was a private plane. Maybe that is why he could get to the pilot

Yeah, how he get the door open? I thought no one could get in except for the stewardess?

That's what I read, too. The rules are different for private planes.

If it was a private plane, I'm curious how the news even got leaked out.

Other passengers?

Hmm, maybe. But I don't think he'd be flying with other passengers that he didn't know. He has enough money and the arrogant attitude to not deal with little folk. If it was another passenger, it was prob one of his friends.

Also, sounds like he was drunk or something. The article made no mention of alcohol or drugs either way, so...

If it was a private flight, I wouldn't assume that the other passengers were "little folk." The other passengers were probably annoyed that their flight and schedules were interrupted by Chappelle's nonsense, and they didn't mind complaining to the press.

he said it was something he ate that caused erratic behavior (a bad case of food poisoning) but then.... what did he eat that could cause this kind of behavior? :dunno:
