Dallas Kids Find Pile of Cash, Spend It

Of coure the Drug Money probably has been exposed to Drugs at some point, maybe a little cocaine dust.
Drug Dog happens to smell it, instantly Ravensteve's a Drug Dealer, at the very least he gets to explain about the money. Be sure the Judge hears the "finders keepers" law explanation, that should clear it all up.

Or you could keep it and spend nights wondering if every car that goes by is going to be the owner coming to reclaim it. And if it's someone illegal, I doubt they are just gonna knock on the door and ask nicely.
You say your tough and not afraid, those are easy words to say on an Internet Forum, bet it would be different when your staring down the barrel of a gun.

Lol, Pete, so true.
Cold causes shrinkage, but let me tell you, so does having a gun pointed at you, whoaaa.
And btw, I read somewhere that a hell of a lot of paper money in Florida is already contaminated with cocaine.
Go figure.

:-o Your brother did the right thing, and he is not stupid. {comment removed} That money does not belong to you or anyone in your family and Your father did the right thing turn the money in. How would you feel if you lost something that is value to you? Would you want someone to return it to you or keep it? If your brother found a bag of lots of money it could be from a bank robbery or drug busted that a drug dealer hid it's money. You don't want to keep something that been stolen, or received from Drugs that means You support bank robberies or drug given away.
Well Dollar bills dont have anyones name on it. So it doesnt belong to anyone except ""The United States Of America"" So if you drop them or lost them and someone finds it,,Its Kinders Keepers,Losers Weepers.

And you just found this out, Zesty?
Jeez, are ya a nun in training or something??

So,,,What if drug dealers loses their money? How are they gonna know where they lost it or who took it?

I thought if you found something and want to claim it, by law, you have to let people know that you found something and have them describe the property before handing it over to them and the people that lost their property have up to 30 days to claim it and after 30 days, it's yours. I think it's something like "Possession is 9/10 of the law" so this might apply? Of course you will be faced with thousands of people saying, "Yeah I lost a bag full of money, that's mine." but you will have to ask them for the certain amount of money they lost. They probably will come up with a random amount and if it doesn't match, then it's not theirs. If it matches, ask them where did they think they lost it and if the place they described fit the description of the place you found it, it's highly possible that it's theirs.

Even though your brother did the right thing, take the bag to the police and have them investigate the bag, but I'm just saying that there's another way of doing this but of course the other way could face fatal consequences like having a mob at your door with some guns, ready to shoot you and your whole family down and take the loot... If the monetary amount is very small like in the low hundreds, you can put up a "Found: a wallet with some money in it, if it's yours, contact me at KL-5555" or whatever. I would be suspecious if it's like around 500K in the bag, and of course the first thing would come in mind is drug money because who the fck would lose a bag full of money like that?! The Three Stooges would!

Give me your wallet. The money in there doesn't have your name on it. It's all mine now.

Ravensteve,

I believe honestly is the key, when you find something that doesn't belong to you, you should give it back to whoever it may belong to or to the police because that is the right thing to do....

It had happened to me once when the people who used to live next door and gave my children encyclopedia books so they could use when finding information or doing a school project (this was before having a computer) etc...Well I found seven $2.00 bills in each of the books, I went next door and told them what I found and they said they were looking for those $2.00 bills for 5 years and I didn't have any clue that the money was in there after all those years, they were sooo happy that I found it in these books that they gave to us...I felt really good about myself knowing that I did the right thing even tho I knew they gave me those books but I also knew that the money did not belong to us...It was a great feeling to see the joy on their faces when I came up with the missing money that they had looked for during all that time we've had those books!! As for the money in those books, the children or myself didn't go through each page in this encyclopedia set during that time and once I found one two dollar bill, I looked in the other volumes and found more....

You will feel really good about yourself knowing that you did the right thing Ravensteve, cause honestly is what makes your life much easier, it's being able to be honest with yourself by returning something that does not belong to you in the first place!... :)

Angel if you belive honesty is the best policy would you be honest in the courtroom and tell the judge the whole truth and nothing but the truth even it means youre going to prison for 10 years? Because this man sure the hell didnt.

I'm not Bill Clinton and YES!!! because I believe telling the truth will set you free, if you lie ,it will come right back at ya...

If I had to lie so I wouldn't end up in prison for 10 years, but it doesn't mean I am competely free from it, cause one day, it will come right back at me and then I will be in prison where I belong....( I'm not going to break any kind of law intentionally and go to prison for it!!! ) ;)

The old saying is " what comes around , comes right back at you "
