Curious: what do our deaf members do for a living?

I work at graphic industrial for +25 years. I was master photo tech for +20 years. They laid many people off until I was last person in photo dept. They shut photo dept down. They made me transfer to color digital industrial. Right now, they started downsize. I am very positive that they will not lay me off. Who will know they will go out of business.

Also, I am free lance photo for NCAA sport events and local news. Few times, I have been in college football bowls.
Sometime, I repair computers for extra earn $$$.

My husband does the financing & paperwork and legal work when I make the candles and sew. Hubby helps when the hot wax is hard for me to pour.

It is great to do and we work on our own hours. We enjoy it very much.

If people are not able to find a job, they can get grants from the government to set up a home business.

How that really works for getting grant money from governments? I would love to know to expand my photography business but I don't have enough equipment I need to book up clients. I am Freelance Photographer and still looking for job to pay bills!

Long time, I am in photo press member and free lance photo. Many times, I am doing photo for NCAA sport events, local sports and local news. Most time, they need me as back up photographer.

1). What kind of type you are interested in photo field?

2). Do you have excellent equipment? If, you do not have enough equipment. Sorry, they will not help you.

3). Do you have any friend in prof photo career? If, you do not have any friend in photo career. That's not easy to start business.

I own many lenses, and 3 DSLR(s). Sometime, they loan me their 400mm lens (worth $7000) at game. Sometime, other photographer needs my super wide or low light lenses. Let them to have my lens without cost of rent lens.

Yes, I hear that they have special price from goverments. They did not say anything grant money from gov. Just discount to buy something. That's why my wife needs to start her own business sewing (Drape and cover chair). I am waiting to get some information from her friend.
 
Up until this last fall I was Marketing Manager for Liz Claiborne cosmetics. I carry a cosmetology license which I have thought about getting back into at least part time. Right now I am a freelance writer for a few websites and I have my own blog which gains a small revenue =) AND, I spend my extra time modding here and there =) lol
 
here I go... I work part-time at longs drugstore for almost 9 years. but longs itself will change into cvs pharamcy soon which i don't know when but eh... blah lol and I'm part-time internet bum... techinally I don't use internet that much cuz I'm always out but it's better than being addicted to the computer tho :P

1. I am very interesting in portrait like maternity, newborns, children, engagement, senior, couples, and I would love to do wedding.

2. I have Nikon D80.......Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1.8D and AF Nikkor 24-120mm 1.3-3.6 G. I know they are not good enough for portrait but I am planning to get 30mm 1.4 len. And Alienbee B800. Also, you don't need the best camera body but need best lens to have great results of photo. But I do know that you need backup cameras which I plan to get Nikon D700 and D80 will be my back up.

3. I have done portrait for years now, I am just ready to take next level to book up real clients.

I am just ready to take next step to book up clients. In fact, I do have my own website now.
