What do you think of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes getting married on July 4th this year?

I personally think since Katie have broken off with her 5 years relationship recently in December,..then all of suddenly dating and now engaged to Tom. I think She is in rebound relationship...perhaps I could be wrong. :dunno:

I dont think they look good together...I think Tom and Nicole looks better together...IMO...

I was surprise about them being engaged or yet to marry on July 4th! *sigh* that seems quite fast... I know Katie been crush on Tom for long time.... but 20 years btw age. :ugh:

I really think this is all a publicity stunt. I don't really think Tom loves Katie. I just think he is using her, and she's too young and stupid to see it. I give this whole thing less than six months.

I watched Tom on the Oprah Show, He seems to be in love with her as she is for him. I'm not quite sure what's really the rush to get married so quickly. I think they should wait and make sure they continue to stay together. But nobody can stop them.

Ive lost all respect for Cruise since hes been so stubborn in making others follow his beliefs. I respect his passion but do not respect his new platform, so to speak. He got into an argument with Matt Lauer on the other day. He is alienating himself from his fans.

I truly hope Katie loves Cruise for who he is, not what he can do for her. Best of luck to them!

Katie has a crush on Tom since she was young and she's been on cloud 9 since she's been in Tom's arms. Tom has planted so much seeds in her and now she wants to change her religion to Scientology. Wow... I think she just wants to be Mrs. Thomas Cruise Mapother IV to complete her fanasty.

:ugh2:

I don't even CARE about it...Tom and Katie are too bit in rush to get married and should wait a little longer....Oh well...not my life, their life!

really, I didn't know that Tom Cruise and Katie are getting married in July 4th. I have seen a picture of Tom Cruise. he is so handsome. umm, Katie Holmes? I don't remember what Katie Holmes look like! Hey, Coloravalandche do you have picture of Katie Holmes? I wish Tom and Katie best luck.

(sigh)

When did everybody start caring about Tom Cruise's personal life?

Nosey folks we got here!

I have to say that you're quite stubborn too as well. Tom Cruise didn't make anybody follow his beliefs, but he did give them a piece of his mind and rightfully so. I'm so sick of the TV newscasters, so many of them are liars and rude. Katie Couric was even rude to Denzel Washington before and started to raise her voice toward him last year on TV. Matt Lauer is also an idiot. He tried to provoke Tom Cruise and tried to act as if he knew something about ritalin which he obviously don't. I wish he had stuck to interviewing him on the movie, War of the Worlds instead of discussing personal details. That's pretty much none of anybody's business to begin with.

Ritalin is an over-prescribed drug. Tom Cruise is right, we didn't use to drug the kids as much as we did in the 80s and before as we do now. Anti-Depressants are also over-prescribed. People do not need drugs to be happy.

It's all in the mind. Did you know that women are capable of lactating if they believe hard enough that they are pregnant when they aren't? Yup, it's a fact. Some drugs are actually useful and good, but the majority are rendered useless in my eyes and it pollutes people's minds too much.

Tom Cruise isn't a doctor, neither is Brooke Shields. You aren't one either. So is it really necessary to complain about Tom expressing himself on the prescription drugs? Everybody's entitled to their opinions on prescription drugs, not just the doctors or women.

By the way, fathers can get postpartum depression too. Not just the mothers according to recent studies.

I did a thread on Cruise and Shields recently. Cant find it to pull it up here.

Yes you are right, I'm stubborn but I dont go around blasting people in the public about their usage of anti depressants. I do not advocate for Ritalin. If you read that thread, I was referring to only anti depressants for post partnum mothers. I was a victim of that and had to resort to using anti depressants to recover from both of my two births. I did say that I respect Cruise s passion but do not respect how he is using media to shame Shields.

He makes very good points but he is not the person to judge period. His opinons comes across as judgemental to me.

Thats my 2 cents.

PS What is wrong with caring about their personal lives? These people know that they have to live with nosey folks if they live their lives out in limelight.

Wrong. The media force the celebrities into that position.

Typical bias toward celebrities, sheesh. It's really the mainstream media that is the problem. They invade privacy 24/7.

Hahaha I'm cracking up!!!

I think personally that TOM has to be GAY to cover up his ass and fame.

Hey you got yourself involved too! You're nosey like us as well! so welcome to the club!

By the way, I admire Tom as an actor and whatever he does with his life is his business. Katie Holmes is a very beautiful girl! I agree with you that some drugs do help some people and Tom has every right to express how he feels. He's human like us.

and yes fathers do get postpartrum depression too. That's very true!
