I love my BlackBerry, but I turn off vibrate 95% of the time now.
If I need to look for emails, I take it out and glance at the screen like a watch.
I don't use BlackBerry vibrate much anymore because vibrate controls my life too much.
I can make it vibrate only for one person, too. (custom profile)
My favourite BlackBerry apps installed on mine:
Google Maps
GMAIL Mobile
MSN Live Messenger
AIM Messenger
Google Talk
Facebook
Yahoo
Video/Photos
Opera Mini (Faster and better than BlackBerry Browser, see here)
Garmin Mobile (turns a BlackBerry into a NUVI, see here)
Crash Bandicoot Karting (from magmic/bplay)
Prince of Persia (from magmic/bplay)
Pac Man
Age of Empires III for BlackBerry (from Handmark)
(To those who ask, yes these videogames are available for BlackBerry! Check Bplay / Magmic / Handmark for better video games than Brickbreaker!)
