Not every biker have health insurance alike you do. I knew two people who got hurt from bike accident and guess who pay their hospital bills, that us tax payers. It goes same with people who smoke, they have their own health insurance also.
 
Taxing and prohibitation is completely different meaning.

Prohibitation leads to crimes, and more evilly troubles, while taxing reducing that and allow them do whatever but they got to pay for their consequences, while those doing something that is part of prohibitation pays nothing for their consequences unless they get caught.

I know that tax will not complete eliminate smokers, but reducing them.

I said I was just spinning it a little to show the 'sin' tax mentality can apply to anything.
I was not stating you personally.

I agree, I do not like paying for people poor lifestyle choices either. Should Obama get his way with Nationalized/Socialized Health Care we will be paying even more for the alleged poor.

Disclaimer: The alleged poor are a different group than the truly poor and in need.

Yup, you got my point.

I'm not smoker or support any smokers, however I just made point about high tax wouldn't fully eliminate smokers like you said.

Smoking has increased of more restriction than before, that what I had noticed.
 
That is increase money for tax. i think so expensive for money.. I don't know government decision to increase money.... for too much smoke because people pay for really lots of money
 
Wow this thread seems turned out to blaming on the cigarettes, but really it's the governments that abuse us. If there are no more smokers around to buy the cigarette, then the government will charge us even more for other like the foods, cars, houses, electronics, etc. It won't be any different at all, it's all about the governments. They use the cigarette taxes to pay for the children's education so you can't complain that they use some of taxes for their health issues with the cigarettes that they spend so much for the children's education, both their life and their money.

Governments are the one who are soon to be fuck up, not the smokers, not the fast food eaters, etc etc.

Gas has gone up again here....cigarettes, a helluva lot!Someone attempted to buy a carton of cigs with their debit card, there was a $1.50 "fee" for that! He walked out of the store madder than a hornet's nest!

I enjoy a cigarette every now and then, but I'm not addicted. But at the prices they are asking now, I'm done! It was my only "vice", really. I don't drink or do drugs....

How does the government abuse us when we are the government?
 
I am a smoker and don't appricate paying 54 dollars for a carton when before they were 34. It's supid..I feel the same thing about Dr. Pepper. I notice one week I"ll pay 98cents for a two liter the next week it's up to 1.48. WTF..Just cause I gotta pay more doesn't mean I'm going to quit.

Governments always thought that they did right thing for entirely country which does not work out for everyone. Not everyone vote, ya know..

Well some of people was not well educated and didn't learn about the government system, we can't blame them. I've seen many of people get hurt by government's requirement system such like taxes, insurances, laws, etc. and wonder when will it ever stop and become the best for everyone.

I am not sure what the world leading to anyway :)
