Could you keep up with this workout?

:laugh2:....saw this yesterday...almost died laughing....that "huffing & puffing" with 10'lb. weights......:giggle:

It's hard to tell who that was , it's very poor quality and it looks someone pretending to be Obama .

mind you, these specific exercises aren't the easiest.....i think he just doesn't want to do this, but its part of his 'presidential workout' to keep that walking , jet plane stairs climbing pose in 'perfect' its more about walking and shaking hands like a prez....
lol
but

yeah these specifics aren't any easier if done alone, if it was compounded or in a set program, with a few more other exercises....other muscle groups when warmed and trained over time helps another...so who ever is 'mentoring him' should be fired.....its BAD....

the Arnold press (named after Arnold Schwarzenegger) that raising and twisting the dumbbells above his heads, and combined but that pattern alone is just too hard, and its wrong for him to do that, it is more of an advanced tech.....oh well dumb again!!

He is not built like a pro wrestler so he wont work out like one.

yea I saw this few days ago. the way he worked out.... I have a feeling that he has undisclosed health condition that's putting him on borrowed time

What gave you that feeling?

What gave you that feeling?

he lives a stressful life and he smokes. he's straining and wincing when lifting up 10 lbs dumbbell.

and.... he's a politician

Point taken...:giggle:

Depending on the day I could do all/most of those (knees would not handle the lunges at all). That being said, I make it a habit to lift heavy weights when I can.

However, he seems to me like the tall, lanky, weak sort to me. Kind of like most doctors I've met for some reason. Doesn't make him any more/less a good/bad president or "man" and I have the feeling that the ones who think so are the ones who also think that me lifting anything more than 5 pounds will hurt my ovaries or make me wake up one morning looking like a male body builder on accident.

Who knows, maybe he can run really fast or for long distances and lifting just isn't his thing?

Trouble breathing when lifting over the head could indicate a problem with the heart.

Meh, everybody loves to be a critic, if any of us have learned anything about people on line, it's that they're largely assholes. Probably half the people doing they're hate thing don't even work out and couldn't possibly do any better. People are so weird. As far as the breathing, obviously I couldn't hear it, but you're supposed to exhale on the lift and inhale on the release, so he wasn't necessarily huffing and puffing.

So yeah, meh. I have no critiques to add, and if you're taking joy and picking it apart, well, you just might have some self reflection to do.

The thing about physical activity is that we have different levels of agility, flexibility, balance, speed, and interests. I couldn't do a leg split worth shit for gymnastics or do a perfect dive in swimming but I could pitch a mean riseball and compete with others on the bicycle. (I played recreational, varsity and competitive fast-pitch softball for ten consecutive years. Proud of it!)

Who cares about who can keep up with the workout President Obama is doing, as shown in the YouTube video? What matters is that YOU engage yourself in physical activity--get moving doing whatever you love to do. Some people can do their thing in the gym and stay focused without distractions, and others would prefer to do it outdoors where they can enjoy the beauty of nature. I played softball for so long not because I had to, but because I had a deep love for the sport. And the last two times I successfully lost weight, it was all with bicycling. If you give me a gym membership, I won't have the motivation to go there but give me a bicycle, I'll tear up the sidewalks with it.

hmm, this is one of the more sensible reply, and I'd think I'd agree with Amber. I'd doubt these exercises are his 'choice' but what is required for posture (that one of my guess) and the other half is requirement to maintain health, possible doctors orders, it could be anything, its really none of our businesses.
but as I mentioned before, some of these exercises aren't good for beginners....so who ever is instructing him should be questioned.....that's just me

smh Seriously? That is one sloppy routine he's got going, there's no adaptive work with some reasonable resistance, only running himself into the ground. Gotta be fake, if our military trained like that, this country is s*** out of luck! :thumbd:

No, it's not fake.

To be fair, lat raises aren't done with 50lb weights, you need to go light for control. In fact, your shoulders are so complex it is very easy to promote injury. And, he's probably doing 30-35 lb seated presses(another injury prone exercise).

Don't confuse weight and benefit. You need to lift what is right for you, not everyone else.

Given his schedule, I think it is cool he works out at all.
