Cop Suspended After Video Emerges Of Brutal Arrests At Teen Pool Party

So the DJ is a teen too? I am glad no teens were hurt , school is just about out for the summer and kids will be extra excited and wanting to party. Parents will have to find ways to keep their kids out of trouble all summer .
In our neighborhood, since the first day of school vacation, teen vandals have been out and about. If they're bored on the first day, I can't imagine what they'll do the rest of the summer.

In our neighborhood (which has a community pool area like the one in this thread), teens were caught last week breaking into the pool after hours. They've also egged people and property, drove thru picnic area making deep mud ruts, and tampered with parked vehicles.

That is not good ,some kids will go to the duck pond and shot the ducks with BB guns for 'fun' in my city ! This happen one summer and all the ducks were getting killed, the ACO polices and FBI were trying to find the people . They using a gun at a public park and the city summer camp was held at the park . I hope this will no happen again. We do get gangs from bigger cities coming to my city and starting fights right down town . Parents are not doing their jobs today. . I am not going to enjoy going to the duck pond when school is out. That been happen here too people cars getting tampered with disgusting!

Oh wow, thanks for sharing.

No wonder about why police officer was extremely upset over out of control teenagers.

Shame on media for not add those information to article.

I had incident over out of control teens at GameStop and most of them are white, so they were very rude and made nasty talk about everything, even they broke a line. It was happemed during GTA V launch day at 12:00 am in October 2013. I asked them for helping because I didn't understand about what employees said so they were very rude and cussed out at me. That hurt my feeling because no one willing to help to resolve the communication issue without interpreters.

Most teens are retard, period.

That why I start order games digitally so no more phyiscal copy, but if I need one for Xbox One so I use Amazon.

Yike... Teens egged our and neighbors' cars 5 years ago and threw litters on undeveloped lands that where new houses supposed to be completed, but halted due to 2008 financial crisis.

I was pissed off and I had to take my car to carwash to wash all eggs off.

Community swimming pool was originally planned in our neighborhood but cancelled after 2008 financial crisis.

Yeah, that egg stuff can be hard to remove, especially if it dries in the sun.

This incident was rotten eggs, and one hit a two-year-old child.

They caught the teens.

Neighborhood pools are a lot of cost and responsibility. They have to carry heavy liability insurance and meet lots of government regulations (in SC, that would be DHEC). Maintaining can be expensive.

One year, teens threw all the pool furniture into the pool. It's always something.

Yes, that what I believe and I found some HOA have to shut the swimming pool down and filled in the pool due to a lot of abuses.

I feel bad for children (not teens) to not having a swimming pool and it seems like teens don't care about everything.

To be fair, our HOA fee is much cheap and will not increased at all, but if community swimming pool is added so it make HOA fee goes up, more possibly monthly payment instead of annual.

Also, I prefer Olympic sized swimming pool (or university swimming pool) because they have deeper as 12 ft to make a perfect for diving.

I believe that nearly all neighborhood swimming pools (including condo) don't have deeper than 6 ft due to no lifeguard.

Our annual HOA fee is $125. The pool membership is an additional $175 per season (five months). To reserve the pool pavilion for a private two-hour party is $75. (Private party can invite non-resident guests.)

The annual expenses for the pool are about $14,000. That includes maintenance, life guards, mandatory phone, and DHEC license. It's open from May thru September.

Interesting, does same regulation applies to backyard swimming pool?

I think only the regulation about fencing around a pool is required for backyard pools. It probably depends on the homeowner's insurance.

In my neighborhood, only in-ground pools are allowed.

There will be rally in McKinney today.

I hopefully their rally is peaceful and do not follow a repeat of Baltimore.

If they follow Baltimore's example so they will not win.

They need to ignore anyone who made racist statements and some people are looking for trouble - provoking into attacking.

(CNN)Benet Embry just wanted a respite from the heat when he went to his neighborhood pool Friday. Talking to CNN Monday about the national story that rolled out of that simple, mundane summer activity still has him pretty well dismayed.

The 43-year-old African-American has lived in Craig Ranch, a planned community, for eight years. It's a nice place. Racially diverse. People get along there.

Thinking back on the pool party, he might have known it would be crowded. The invite to the party had earlier caught fire on Twitter and social media. Craig Ranch's strict homeowners' association rules prohibit bringing more than two guests to the pool.

So when crowds of teenagers showed up, huddling by the gate and shouting to let them in, things got out of hand. Some kids jumped over the fence, Embry said. A security guard tried to get them to leave but was outnumbered, so the guard called police.

Police would arrive, and one officer seen on a video later posted to YouTube, would be placed on administrative leave. The officer cursed at several black teenagers, yanked a 14-year-old girl wearing only a bikini to the ground and knelt on her back. He also unholstered his firearm and chased teenage boys as they approached him while he was trying to control the girl.

Shortly after the approximately seven minute video hit YouTube, many on social media alleged that the white officer was racist. The Texas NAACP called meetings because members suspected as much, its president, Gary Bledsoe, said on CNN Monday.

Embry disagrees.

"Let me reiterate, the neighbors or the neighborhood did not call the police because this was an African-American party or whatever the situation is," he said. "This was not a racially motivated event -- at all. This whole thing is being blown completely out of proportion."

McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley told reporters Sunday that several callers described fighting at the pool. At least 12 officers responded. Someone shot a YouTube video of what happened after they arrived, including the officer who has been placed on administrative leave, running after teenagers and conducting himself in a way that Conley said "raised concerns."

"I may or may not agree with everything that the police officer did, but I do believe he was trying to establish order. I am thankful to God that nobody got hurt," Embry said, adding that it made him feel uncomfortable to see an officer kneel on a teenager in a bikini and wave his gun at other teens.

A mother who was at the party gave a similar account. She spoke with her back to CNN's camera and didn't want to be identified.

"Nobody said anything about race," she said. "It was not a problem."

Our neighborhood pool is closed until tomorrow--some kid went potty in the pool today, so it has to be cleaned and sanitized.

There you go...and read where the residents were allowed 2 guests at that pool....It was a community pool...not a public pool, where anybody can go to swim.

The Lady that charged $15 per person??...Wanted to make $$...and trouble. I hope the HOA kicks that family out...so now they plan a "Protest or March"...Say what?
