Shit!! The Grandfather story!! You had to mention the Grandfather story, your older sister was even worse! I suhwear your family takes pleasure in scaring the n00bs into the family by telling them the Grandfather story.
Here it goes, before Grandfather was laid to rest, the family had him in a homemade coffin in the living room of an aunt's house for a wake. Since the family did the wake themselves, they didn't have the proper autopsy (meaning Grandfather wasn't embalmed). In the middle of the night, Grandfather got up from the waist and burped several times because of the bodily gases. Being the little girl that Chris' sister was, she heard Grandfather burp several time and she refused to go back to bed. Her parents had to put Grandfather back into position and for me to hear the tales.... ... whatta an icebreaker!!
Nancy said:You mean that dead people who are not embalmed actually moved like that?!? Like he's alive? Whoa.....
You guys aren't the only one.....I viewed a couple of graphic photos of Nazis that were dead online....and one of them, it was a black/white photo of one Nazi, with half of his face blown off. Ugh....
Cookie Monster said:Yes, it is because of their bodily gases that makes them do sudden rigid movements, belches or even pass gas because those who are embalmed have their blood, feces and urine removed to prevent this happening. When a person passes on with their blood, feces and urine intact, it causes chemicals in their body to build up and the body cannot hold on to the chemicals. The body will bloat, hence the burping, farting and sitting up or a leg kicking up by itself. It is also the brain's electric waves as well. Yes, it is TMI but to some people it is interesting to learn into this. I admit I like learning about this but just not learning the Grandfather story.
