Controlling rear wheel drive vehicles?

instead of Previa - I would get Chevy Astro AWD. the small one. I've always loved that thing.

Interesting. I don't know how reliable they are. I am sure they do have a lot of cargo space just like Previa does. Yes, I will be carrying a lot of stuffs--mostly bikes and furniture.

however - I am very wary of any used cars in northern area cuz of snow which means heavy rust issues. and potholes which means possible mechanical issues.

if I have it my way - I prefer to buy used vehicles from south - "fly n' drive"... and of course - the biggest negative is not being able to see it in person and test-drive it.

how about Honda Odyssey? I actually like it! It handles pretty nice. I borrowed my friend's Odyssey because it was huge enough to carry my sofa.

one problem - it's a bit of gas guzzler.

Yea, not a big fan of the astro. To be honest all vans kind of suck in the winter. Get some good winter tires will help that a lot though.

I joke that Chevy Astro is also called Atshma, can't breath can't breath...suffocating and die. :P

I've did low speed drifting with all rwd cargo/passenger vans at my old job during the snowy winters. Can be a scary experience for sure.

I did think of Odyssey, but it seems like you can have Previa for less than Odyssey. Also, Odyssey cargo space is kind of small when compared to Previa. I may consider Odyssey if I want the benefit of front wheel drive.

What about Toyota Sienna? Most minivans with FWD have smaller cargo space than rwd minivans/vans. There should be a website that compares the cu ft of space against different vans.

Newer Minivans don't have great towing capability than used to be. First generation of minivan CAN haul RV camper no issues, second generation and thereafter, not anymore. Why? Its all about frame and FWD. First generation of MiniVan was body on frame. Now, you won't see frame in these minivan as they are built in body frame.

Scary? Over 45mph it is but slower speeds i just put the hammer down and smile

I did look at Sienna vans. They're going for a lot more than Previa and Odysseys. I wonder what the best site is for me to check out cargo space of Previa and Odyssey. It just seems like Previa has a lot more than Odyssey, but I would be wrong.

i spent a lot of my youth driving cars in an un parallel manner to the road. There is risk but skids are mostly controllable. My friend lived on this road that only had him and one other house on it. I could make it from one end to the other never grabbing traction with the rear. I think it was about 1/4 mile.

Now i am much more responsable but it still makes me smile when the rear slips out when i'm drivig and sometimes i can't help feeding it some gas.

Friend of mine has a CRV it's had it's head replaced once and might need it again with under 150k. Thought it was a fluke but when i checked online lots of people where having the same problem. Some people managed to get the dealer to fix it and some couldn't. Turned out to be soft valve seats so once they are chewed up it's not rebuildable. Any vehicle regardless of brand can have premature massave failure. That's why you need a good warranty.
