I've been upset that I had 2 different Sidekick 4Gs and both freezes on me a lot. I slammed the last phone to ground because i was upset. Phone is all cracked and no good.

My girlfriend just got an AT T iphone 3G. I decided to try AT T because they're cheaper than Verizon per monthly. Also, I wanted to help my girlfriend and me get a bonus for referral.

I got the AT T Samsung Captivate Glide on Dec. 14. As you know, I do have 30 days to get out of contract. I may do that.

I spend a lot of time in Chicago and Grand Rapids, MI area. It seems like AT T doesn't have that much better of a coverage than T mobile.

So I have few options. See, I may just ditch AT T and go with Verizon--Droid 3 or Stratosphere. I flat out don't like where the charger is placed on my Glide phone!! If you tried typing with charger in place, you'll understand. Look at where charger is on Sidekick 4G. It's not in way when I type. I don't like it's in way when I type on Glide. I would always go back to T mobile as that is what my family have.

Also, I had different keyboard on Sidekick 4G for number and letters. I don't like using same keyboard for letter and numbers. That can be avoided. I regret that i got Glide. Luckily for me that I've 2 more weeks to decide if I want to stay with AT T or not.

Man, learn to manage that anger. You're too old for temper tantrums.

We have no idea what you do on your sidekick 4G, everyone has different phone use habits.

But hardware wise, I can see some things about you already and can tell you that you probably aren't going to see much of a difference now that you moved to the captivate glide.

The SK4G is running on AOSP UI on a 1GHz single core processor. You're probably still on android froyo version 2.2x. It uses the Samsung-endorsed SGX540 GPU. Just incase you didn't know, the sidekick is manufactured by Samsung as well, its just being sold as tmobile (same concept with HTC Desire Z being sold as the Tmobile G2).

The Samsung Captivate is running on a 1GHz dual core processor. But the gpu chipset is based on NVIDIA tegra 2. It is running the gingerbread update but on Samsung TouchWiz UI.

In terms of general texting performance, and VPing you are not going to see a difference at all. So unless you root and mod them, you aren't going to see much performance differences except in playing games.

And yeah, no idea why you'd want to break your phone in anger... Root it and run a different ROM if you hate the experience.

I have a Samsung Capitvate since for 1 year and 1 month. I don't have any major issues with it. It's tons better than a Windows Mobile phone I used to have. I got used to typing on a touchscreen, it took a while but worth it. I am thinking about rooting it and put in a custom ROM sometime but the phone refuses to let me root it for some reason. I have to look into that later on. I'm currently on Android 2.2 (Froyo)

The Sidekick 4G is based on similar specs as The Samsung Galaxy S series which my phone is one of them.
