Americans’ approval of the job Congress is doing is at 21% this month, down significantly from last month’s 31% and from the recent high of 39% in March.

Congressional approval rose sharply in the months after President Obama’s inauguration, from 19% in January to 31% in February and 39% in March. Approval then began to slip gradually, dipping to 31% by the end of the summer, before falling precipitously in October. Given the current 21% reading, it appears that any “honeymoon” period for the 111th Congress has eroded.

Approval of Congress today is significantly below the average 36% rating found across the past two decades.
Approval of U.S. Congress Falls to 21%, Driven by Democrats

The decline comes mainly from Democrats. Gallup notes that Democratic approval of Congress peaked at 63% in May. Then in September down to 54. Now it’s at 36%, a precipitous 18-point drop. We're 13 months away from the midterm election.

that rating's pretty typical. at least it's much better than a single-digit low rating...... under GWB

That was when Democrats were in control of Congress. And, if we're talking about the Gallup poll, no, it never went into single digit but 14% which occurred in 2008. Both in 2007 and 2008 are years when Democrats were in control and had one the lowest approval ratings in the last 30 years.

Still relying on polls that the OP himself has admitted are invalid and unreliable. Must be a slow day on the conservative sites.

Just how do we vote them out, pray tell? No paper trail, no paper trail...

Two years ago, we got a bunch of dipshit teatards masquerading as responsible statesmen. Make the connections.

Yep. When you come right down to it, they were appointed, not elected. In the name of God, WHY do we put up with the present lack of proof????

Yes, it is outrageous, and I'm just not going to take it anymore! We should all stand up and fight back!

But first let me finish my Big Mac, watching television, and posting unimportant BS on All Deaf.

I been try to fight back by making phones calls to my representatives for years, I was told it would help if more people called to tell how they felt about something. How was your Big Mac, and TV show??

Actually, I didn't eat a Big Mac or watch TV. I was just trying to make a point about the paradox of the American population. So many people claim to be angry and unsatisfied with our "elected" leaders, but when it gets down to it, most people don't care enough to engage the civil process or really effect real change.

Since I live in the Wonderful District of Columbia, I have no senator or congressperson that I can gripe to. We did have one representative during the democratic controlled House, but as soon as Bonehead and the teatards took over, they did away with that. Taxation without representation. How patriotic and constitutional of them.
