i'm not even sure if that could be in general chatting...but here goes:

Don't any of you know a site where you can read comic books online? (I do NOT mean comic strips like "Loserz", "Garfield", or "FoxTrot") I mean super hero or action comics...because i used to be a huge comic collector of Spider-Man, Gen 13, Witchblade and Tomb Raider but now i don't collect much anymore because i have to use money for other things now...so i'm just wondering if there's a possibity that i could read comics online...you know, read comics for free lol

if there are any like Spider-Man, Hulk, and/or X-Men...just let me know so it could spare my entertaintment in comics once again :)

thanks

I guess they aren't online for free. I think you still need to pay for them to read them online or in books. :dunno:

I am sure there are some eBooks that are comics. You just need Adobe Acrobat Reader and know where to look for the free ones. Otherwise, you'll have to cough up a pretty dime.

Hey guys,

View our website to see a Deaf Comics our deaf students created. It's already published every Sunday in a leading newspaper in the Philippines.
Check it out and email me your opinions. Thanks.

www.mccidonline.net

then click the Weekly Deaf Comics at the left side.

Thanks again. :)

I collected a list of my favorite webcomics on a page a while ago.
http://www.artkunst.net/webcomics.htm

I still have many more links of webcomics that I haven't listed in the links page if you're interested in more. I'd be happy to PM them if asked.

I love Adventures of Boschen and Nesuko (hero type manga online, psychotic heroine and hero tho)

Flipside sounds like it would be more your style, Steel. Look for it on the links page :) Try looking through these comics' websites' links, you'll find dozens of new ones all the time.

Try out DrunkDuck.com - they have quite the collection of free comics.

http://www.pawn.se/index.html is kinda off the radar as far as conventional webcomics come, but you sound like you would enjoy it.

You can't say I've never been nice to you, boy! :)

http://www.onlinecomics.net is also another large collection of webcomics. Rarely some creators will just advertise comics that you need to pay for subscription to see more. You can find some pretty nice webcomics, though, completely for free! It's all legit - I've read many webcomics there for months.

If you are willing to subscribe to webcomics - wirepop.com is a pretty nifty place. Aspiring webcomicists usually dream of ending up at http://www.tokyopop.com/ - I've seen a few who actually do!

:)

I absolutely hate it when people say go buy it or find it at the library. It's an online forum. Obviously we do not want to spend the money in this time of economic distress. Libraries, Book stores and comic book stores are useless because unless you have the coin, being a comic book nerd is an expensive hobby. And libraries hardly ever have a decent graphic novel section.

No you are not a geek, no you are not looking for manga, and no you are not alone.

I use htmlcomics.com

The site is large and growing everyday.
I always find whatever I'm looking for...except Ultimate X-Men volume 5. I never purchased #437.
She Lies with Angels was a beautiful homage to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The feud between the Guthries and the Cabots was designed to parallel the feud between the Montagues and Capulets, respectively. But it had an interesting twist because of the Guthrie family's tendency toward mutation.
Though this story is evermore tragic because, unlike Romeo, Jay survived his suicide attempt. He even calls himself Icarus to show how far he has fallen- referencing the Greek Mythology Icarus who fell after flying to close to the sun. And with Shakespeare, the bible, and Greek Mythology, the story was surprisingly rich in the popular allusions made in modern literature.
