More of dirty brown (varies between dirty blonde and dark brown!) My hair turns light during summer and darker during winter!!??!! I have few blonde hairs and I DON'T highlight/dye.

Mum, very Gray,
Dad, Black with little Gray (both 63!)
Brother very dark brown.

Born Blonde, at school golden brown, later darker but it varies with the season

Mine is light brown mere like nut brown... yet I'm almost bald like you can see my avatar here so it looks quite darker.
 
My hair is naturally brown...and the weirdest thing is that it also have natural red and blonde streaks in it...I never dyed it and yet it showed up in my hair. People say that I have it because of sun, sun makes my hair look like that.

Thansk Web730, Yes I have light green/bluey/gray eyes.
 
I also have that amber-copper effect in brighter light. You Brits must feel endowed to have Scandinavian traits. :)

If not much outside in the sun, then my hair is dark brown. If outside a lot in the sun, then my hair becomes lighter brown. Right now, my hair is highlighted "brown red."

why not post picture of your hair? shows colors better than descriptions!
 
I am with Shel's.
I hate dark brown hair, too. I sometimes wish I have red hair.
I guess it's genetic in my family's side. I am 1/2 Italian and also am 1/2 Welsh.
 
My hair is black, white, a bit of brown, but my whole bushy tail is silver. I do contain some silver hair on my back.

ARRROOO!!
