Now that I think about it, I haven't had an ear infection since I received my first CI in 2004.
As far as allergies are concerned, I have year round allergies. (i.e. dust, pollen, ragweed, mold, pet dander, cigarette/pipe/cigar smoke, perfume/cologne, various allergies to food) My allergies have been rather severe lately due to the dry weather we've been having.
Fortunately, my hearing hasn't been affected as a result.
However, my CI audi said that when a person has a cold or allergies, some notice a difference in their hearing while others do not.
