How involve are they in the deaf culture and do they ever date deaf people?

I'm very curious how my son might turn out.

Mine have both had deaf friends, but the one who is married is married to a hearing man.

I don't know what the unmarried one will do, although she claims ambition to just skip it and be a crazy old cat lady. She is a good signer though. :)

I know so many CODAs who are married to deaf people. However, I know many who married hearing people who are CODAs themselves.

that's a relief to hear. I don't want our son to be one of those who avoid the deaf culture as if he is a ashamed of it. I keep wondering why not very many CODA here on ALLDEAF, or do they hang out in other deaf websites (like deafblog)

I have lot of coda friends, a quarter of them are married to deaf partner, and other quarter is married to hearing people. The rest is up to the fate. I have 3 coda kids out of four, they said stuff that it is up to the calling of love when the time comes. So it depends on every individual and their experience. This should be in Parenting section.

*This needs to be moved to Parenting*

I got two KODAs, both of them are young still. Wait til they grow up, will see what happens. Lately I have exposed one of my KODA with other Deafies and this year will send my son to KODA camp, hopefully my KODA kid gets better idea and be true CODA in the end.

well, it is also about relationship too.

That often work.. it is just the way they are influenced as human being, not just being CODA or not. My kids loved going to deaf camp themselves. My oldest son said it just depends on the individuals themselves. He doesn't mind having a deaf girlfriend if things goes right but the problem is he is used to regular socializing. Whenever I or their mother hang out with deaf friends or when the deaf friends comes over, they hang around to socialize too but most of the other families kids are hearing. So deaf camps, deaf kids activities can tell your kids something good or bad. It is their decision to make. My daughter said the same but she has 10 to 15 yrs to live as single.

I met an interpreter who is CODA has deaf husband. She said that lot of people have their own living style in and out of the deaf culture. The reason she married the deaf guy is because he is who she wanted not because he is deaf and she is already adjusted to deaf culture herself so it did not make any difference to her.
