College dorms are best places for crockroaches to live!! :D Lots of food crumbs on floor and dark cracks to live in everywhere. I lived in college dorms for several years and had to use Raid to kill them. One time, I sprayed Raid on a big ass roach and it wont die. So I sprayed again and again. That damn roach just wont die!! So I took my shoe and hit it. Finally it is dead!! Yay!!
really? :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
Thanks for informing me and when I go to RIT next fall, I will make sure that no one makes mess in my room

So in big cities they have roaches there?

It's hard to explain..
Actually, any towns have them but depends on the conditions... OR.. housing conditions too.. (like apartments, townhouse & etc)..

Ahh, Good example.. in town or one street which have many different family owned resturants or food chain resturants/fastfoods.. Like cafe/resturants/bar&grill... next to next.. You noticed in the back of alley..

messy and fifthly.. uncared for cleaniness... thats popular for roaches go in there..

same idea.. for some housings-- not responsible to keep clean, dirty, enivorments, or in area of where you live.. like your home is clean but next door is dirty, fifthly.. its good chance for roaches invades in your home..

I hope i make this clear.. :dunno:

Not just because of cold climate we have in minnesota (fall/winter/spring).. its just depends on the conditions where you live in..

I have not seen cockroaches in my house. I lives in NH. But I have seen some while I was dating this guy back in 1986. In his apt there was cockroaches everywhere in the bathroom. I told him to do something and he said no they are my roommates. Then after that we stop dating. Thanks goodness.

I wouldn't want a cockroach for a roommate!!! :run:

Sorry, I just had to laugh, it sounded so funny!

Laugh if you want to, but ewww!!!! Not sure, but if you've ever seen a Palamino Bug, you'll GET why this topic just gives me the creeps!

Palamino bugs put "normal" cochroaches to shame. They're bigger, creepier, nastier, and they are everywhere down where I live!

So, ex-cuuuse me, if I'm just a tad squeamish, O-KAY! :hyper:

I use roach prufe (blue powder - cost about $7 a can) and they disappear. When they come back like in 6 months later or so I use it again. And I make sure that my roommates do their dishes, dry up the kitchen, sinks, showeroom areas.

You can use roach powders spray behind the refrigator... under the sinks... that will take care of...

you can find in walmart to get spray to kill them when you live your own.

lemme tell u a story u'll crack up ....
i was in bed and my mom was on the phone we were on vacation in maui i was tired from the jetlag so turned in early, well i felt something going on so i woke up and i was like wtf is my mom doing??? she was swatting something with a fly swatter and lo and behold there was a HUGE cockroach in the middle of the living room, mom tried to use RAID which cracked me up cuz of the attena thing going on and i was like no mom use something else, well she used a huge phone book and SPLAT went the cockroach and mom told me to dispose it elsewhere oh i did dispose it, at the front desk letting the lady know to tell the housekeeping to do a spray before we returned back from a day of outting they did and also there was a security guy he sat in front of our room which was opened i was like why? they were airing out the smell for us which was very nice of them but damn thats a memory i'll never forget!

Lol, Java..........

Little known fact: There's a few cockroach farms in the USA; they are grown expressley for farmers who feed them to their chickens because the cockroach is very high in protein.

We have Palmetto bugs (big fancy flying Charleston roaches) here. :D

Y'all talkin' about cockroaches ? Eww.. I will faint for sure if, I ever saw one !

:hyper:

Wouldn't wanna do that because that cockroach might crawl up your nose. I heard from a friend years ago told me that happened to her & she couldn't get it out and had to go to the emergency room :hyper:
