Closed Threads

I know I requested for a thread of mine to be closed. Here recently I have regretted it as I know some people were enjoying seeing the progression of our garage conversion. Sad thing now, we still have finish work to be done, landscaping to be done, but in about 4-5 years, we are selling and moving out of state. We are taking the 4-5 years to finish the work and get it ready for selling.

Would it work to start a new thread which also contains a link to the older closed one in the first post?

Thought it was uncool to leave in middle of a fight one didn't finish with some closed threads.....would have been nice to see the end of the match. lol

Generally its not that big of a letdown, always can make a different thread to continue if the topic was interesting

The closed threads have never bothered me, especially the ones as of late since they're not a big deal. But I suppose an OP should think about whether to start a thread or not if He/she anticipate they might not like the comments. Common sense applies here.

For some reason some old ones popped up on the list I was reading and I went to comment and said it was closed...why???? Why???? lol

I bet a lot of people would love to put in their 2 cent before threads get locked up. They missed the opportunity. I know that I've missed the chance sometimes before threads get locked up.

yep and I think we had a record in the fastest closing of a thread.. well for me that's the fasted (other than nipping pesky little spammers who liked to spam the forum with porn junk... euugh..that was not fun)

:laugh2: Well you know how it works Ducky, you hurt someones feelings and a thread gets locked. :P Poor MODS... :(

I do sleep, as you have noticed I don't get to stay on here during the day unless there is a report that I need to look into. I don't stay here all day and night to babysit you guys. Other mods have a life to do and have a family of their own and I have a life of my own as well and I don't have to stay and babysit you all the time.

I hope those moderators get to sleep.

I find it confusing,i understand things like religion can upset people they bit over sensertive

I have seen this at the end of a a number of closed threads "Locked per OP's request" Is an OP's request ever turned down and the thread left open?

I think the mods state it that way so it is understood that it was not a mod that didn't want the thread open. (They have to shut down some threads due to fighting or out-of-control, but otherwise it comes from the OP.)
