I've used 3 available devices: headphones, glasses & Captiview.
*Headphones only serve to destroy what's left of my hearing- thanks to directors & their Overly Loud Action Scenes!.
*The glasses are cumbersome & quite frankly, look dorky. I don't care that people notice I'm HoH, but I try to look nice going out (which isn't often) & not like some reject from 'Revenge of the Nerds'. I also prefer not to have my nose pinched for 2 hrs.
*I prefer the Captiview because I now read captions quickly. One cinema is a dine-in theater & they have a Captiview that clamps (screws on?) to the tray table. I can adjust it & my husband occasionally glances over & reads what's being said. He's hearing but prefers movies/TV in CC so I lucked out there!
What kills me is we know more about the devices than the theater staff does... even management sometimes!
