So, what's the story about them? Will a certain percentage of profits go to a civil rights organization?

Yes, Coca Cola is sponsoring with Civil Rights Institute in Birmingham.

Birmingham was formerly most segregated city with numerous racial tension battle in 1960's and there were a lot of police crackdown.

Do you see Columbia, SC printed on Coca Cola bottle?

I think SC used had segregation law in past.
Yes, SC was segregated and race relations were bad. There was racial violence, strikes, protests, lots of struggles for equality.

I do remembered back in the days from reading the newspapers about it. My parents watched the news about what was happening in the South during this riot, protests, racial violence and struggled their right for equality. Yes, we had pop bottles back then and now they have small pop bottles to show in Canada, too. I did not see the labels about the 50 years of anniversary for the Civil Rights movement. I am glad that this will help to fund their Black colleges and schools. They have come this far all those years. I congratulated them for doing the best to get ahead in getting their rights.

Now it is our turn as Native Americans in the North America (both Canada and USA) for our rights so that the government don't walk all over First Nations. It has been a long battle for over 500 years. We are trying our best to find the right solution to have peaceful demonstration like #Idle No More. It is not easy when someone is against us. :(

I still remember some ignorant places that had 4 bathrooms and two water fountains and two dining rooms. It was really bad.

Now I am glad that it's getting better but much more could be done too.
