. I keep having ideas of what to tell the audiologist to do so they can sound like a better match or complement, but that left ear is always going to be weaker (I have asymmetrical hearing even w/ CI's because one ear could not be helped with a hearing aid). So I wish that could be improved, but at least it happens only some of the time rather than for every note being played.

Perhaps taking a piece that you know what the problem is that you're hearing and play it after adjustments are made to see if it's improved? That might help you fine tune a map for music.
