Glad everything went well, relax and recover. You'll be amazed how fast you will actually hear with the second ci, it's amazing if it catches on like mine did.

STranger things have happened angel..hope you feeling comfortable today.
your dog marley wdys her dog marley coincidence
Thank you WDYS. I actually had to unwrap and loosen the pressure bandage. It was falling off and pulling my hair. I only have to keep it on until Friday so no big deal. You are so right, Marley has not left my side and is definitely enjoying the cuddles. She was groomed yesterday so her hair is short and she does not get too hot.
So far things are going very very well. I think my surgeon said in two weeks I will have a check up then four weeks later activation. Maybe for my birthday, that would be cool. Might make me forget that I am going to be a year older.
Surgery center made me feel young for a couple of minutes....had to take a pregnancy test.......really???? Hubby and I would have died right there if that thing came back positive.
What a wonderful gift that would be being able to hear better . My want good girl your doggie is taking care of her adopted mother .
Right now all I can say is OUCH......My skull, neck, jaw, shoulders hurt a lot and I also still have a really big fat lip. I get to take the compression bandage off later today so I'm hoping that will help with some of the pain. I'm sure a few more days I will be much better.
are you taking decent pain relife
How did you get a big fat lip ? That sound very painful , maybe you should try eating soft foods for a few days to put less stress on your jaw.
I took the bandage off and this is what I found. He shaved so much of my hair and I have way more stitches than last time. BUT.....I'm feeling much better. Get to wash my hair tomorrow...what is left of it that is. HAHA

It looks very neat and not inflamed, so far better than your last experience with gluing it.
Are you going to get a pixie cut or anything for the next wedding?
The phone clip is awesome, being bi you can hear it in "stereo" which makes it so much more clearer and sounds like you are face to face in a conversation, you wont hear any other noises around you if you set the settings on the big remote (mic/clip ratio) I turned my mini mic, phone clip, tv streamer all the way to the accessories and not have the microphone on the CI interfere at all. You can play with it and adjuct to your likings. The audi wont turn the accessories on until yo are a few mappings in ( some will turn them on at first mapping but better if wait till a few done for clarity, mine waitied til I was done with all my mappings after the second implant) I was kinds turbed since everyone else had theirs going right off the bat that I knew...grrrr. But I love the accessories, just I need a fanny pack or something because I dont carry a purse or Man Bag...lol so I rarely have them when needed, except at home.Hey Mike, I'm definitely relaxing and my hubby is home taking care of me. I wanted to ask you how much you like the phone clip? Out of the four accessories I only ordered three so far.....the tv streamer, mini mic and the remote assistance (which I thought was included but no it's one of your four choices). My Audi suggested ordering the most expensive accessories because if I needed something else in the future it won't cost too much. Like batteries etc.
Does the phone clip really help with phone calls? That would be amazing if it did and I could actually start talking on the phone again.
I appreciate you taking time to answering my questions.
Ive seen some pretty big butchering jobs on a few, My scar is just above my earlobe and stops just before the top of my ear, real close to the back of my ear. had dissolving stitches internally so never seen them, felt them or whatever. My first ear the scar is a bit keyloid? but the second is fine? strangeBotti, you are so right, so much better than last time. The pain has decreased quite a bit over the last few hours, keeping my fingers crossed that it will stay that way. I will not be cutting my hair, it's long enough that I think the rest of my hair will cover the shaved part, at least I hope it will. It took me three years to grow back what had to be cut off last time. No clue why the surgeon had to shave so much and why the incision is so much bigger. I guess that doesn't really matter now, as long as the CI works than things will be great.
