I would!
I would!
jillio said:Wirelessly posted
wait, what did i miss? How would jillio have been able to say where my child attends school, when she doesn't know. I have never shared here, or on my blog where my child goes to school.
Read again. You are once again seeing things that aren't there.
Wirelessly posted
that's why i ASKED. I didn't see it, si i asked.
As for "encounters from above' within the context of anything I have posted-sorry don't buy the "pseudo psychologizing exhibited". Especially by person who claim-some time ago- not to answer any of my comment. Forgot-silence is golden?
Even more amazing-how many forget to "check their own mirrors" before commenting!
Rorshach effect?

Who is sweetmind? Ostensible "deaf militants" don't exist!
Overactive imagination-perhaps?

Sweetmind - someone who used to be here, but no longer is. Apparently was definitely of the "deaf militant" persuasion.
RANDOM:
My car died the other day because it was raining, I put headlights on and forgot to turn them off--apparently there is a very high pitched ring or buzz to remind people to turn off the lights so you dont kill the car. :thumbd:
Happen to others?
Not sure if their later models have it but my '97 Toyota Camry has a feature where when you shut the engine off and open the door the headlights go off! Thus, I leave then in the "on" setting all the time because even in full daylight it helps other people see you.
I have run a battery all the way down though by getting the seat belt caught in the door keeping the dome light from going off at a time when the car was not used for about a week.
Yes, middle of winter, extremely freezing cold and snowing out. I drove to work, parked, left my headlights and got out. Worked for like 4 hours, came back out, and my car was completely dead. I couldn't even GET into my car as the locking mechanism was dead as well lmao (the remote wouldn't work at all and my key is a crappy copy and I have to do a lot of messing around with the key just to get it to even unlock the passenger side door). Whoops? I learned my lesson from this experience though haha.
My mom has a 96 camry, same feature.. only if it's on the right setting. She has left her lights turned on after turning off the car and exiting it because it was on the wrong setting or something like that.
Your body, your choice. Good luck with the CI, hope it goes well.
Jillio reread. If don't deaf militants DON'T EXIST how can "SWEETMIND" be one?
Sorry to be logical.

Drphil; re-read. You are still very confused about what is posted. And you have yet to define a "Deaf militant." I know of no "deaf militants. After all this time and instruction, and you still can't get the cultural designation correct.
She is very well known in the Deaf community, and she is a deaf militant, not was. She is still alive and well.
To be honest, she wasn't all objectionable. She has some very valid points, but simply went to the extreme in too many cases.
I'm not sure what distinction you are making here. Are you somehow parsing out Deaf from deaf, acknowledging that there are Deaf militants, but not deaf militants? Are you just giving drphil a hard time about not using caps when he refers to whatever it was Marsden was getting at with regard to her definition of 'Deaf militants'? If so, you had previously used the same form when referring to sweetmind in your comment to drphil. Or maybe there's some other difference in what you define as a deaf or Deaf militant and what DrPhil is referring to.
I know of some people who call themselves Deaf militants, one of my ASL teachers self-identified as such.
