Chinese fortune cookie messages.....

Hey Mods... i am not sure this is proper posting at this general chat or not... if it's not proper then move to elsewhere - thanks!

Today, we (me and my wife) went to chinese buffet to eat our lunch there and then when we done. And the guy gave us two fortune cookies and my wife took one and i took mine. She opened it and said that "I resent that" with her expression like this >>>> :pissed: and i picked the message that my wife got and read it and laughed my head off!!!!!!! ROFLMO!!!!!!!!!! :rofl: The message said "Eat your vegetable and you'll grow up big and strong like Popeye". And she still saying "I resent that what it says to me and said I am not Popeye!!!!!!!!" LOL that is priceless of her expression!!!!! My message said "You're feeling the need to think long-term. Plan ahead."

Have you ever had sort of insulting or funny message from the fortune cookies in the past?
 
that's funny , I never got a fortune with such sayings, I have one that I got from a while back "Today is a good day for being with a companion'. I collect some fortune cookie strips and paste them in a journal.

I've opened a fortune cookie before and it read something like "someone special will be knocking on your door soon" then there was a knock within 45 minutes later it was only my sister. :ugh3: I thought the fortune cookie was telling me there was gonna be that one special guy coming to my door. :(
 
i love eat chinese restaurant and i like chinese fortune cookie message very much!

Too bad the 'adage' didn't add one more word: guy/girl (for that special relationship, etc.,....) but however--*ahems*, your sister is 'special'...just like you're 'special' to her as well. ;) :D

This reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode I saw where this guy was a harsh restaurant critic and it bit him in the ass. ;)
 
Whitewolves...looks like you and your wife had a few hilarious moments...'specially with the expression you witnessed on your wife's face upon reading the adage. Guess your wife's gonna slip that adage over to you and start giving you extra servings of 'spinach'. :lol:


..and also, yesterday, had a fortune cookie and mine was:

"Don't be hasty. Prosperity will knock on your door soon."

:eek3: ..lottery numbers??! Egads, :ugh3: , I thought they were 'dates' of the calendar that had some big significant purpose or special meaning for me! :rofl:







(..and btw, I have never purchased lottery tickets with those numbers...yet.)

I must laugh about this!! that was so cute!! Fortune cookie sometimes are so.... stupid..... :eek3: I am being so honest :iough:

Hey that was funny.... :) some fortune cookie is.... good some are funny! anyway that was funny. :D
 
I just got the comic strip by e-mail today that relates to "Fortune Cookies Messages" and it's pretty funny tho too....
