The WSD case was due to inappropreate placement of kids with SEVERE psyatric/behavorial disorders...I'd say that quite a few deaf school sexual abuse cases,were most likely due to inappropreate placement of kids who should have been in a REALLY specialized treatment system.Take care of those cases,and sex abuse incidents would drop like a rock...And ofc deaf school sex abuse is usually due to a multitude of different causes......It HAS dropped a lot since laws mandating better conditions in insistutions/residental schools were passed......There will always be incidents.....but there are also major incidents at hearing schools too!

I think that's kind of the point. I thought I said sine thing about this to her earlier. But I was starting a massage soon so I just read the text real fast and thought it was the op that quoted me but it was whatdidyouday.

A) it was a long time ago
B) she was 8 at the time and mentions that she didn't even know what sex was until she was 11, and I doubt they covered foreplay during sex ed....so she probably didn't find out about "fingered" til a few years after that so meanwhile she's relying on a memory from 5-6 years previously at the time she learned about it and maybe maybe did 2+2. and
C) even if it was a short bus she'd still have an obstructed view, they're not THAT short

So what she thinks she saw is a wee bit unreliable.

i'm not playing detective. i asked valid questions as to how someone could see what they saw. in the situation she admit to being in. its a rather reasonable line of questioning.

if you find any of my questions unreasonable pls point any out it.

Yes she is talking about a memory of something she witnessed perhaps 30 years ago. Hence the need for reasonable questions. If asking questions is somehow wrong here, then why even post about this memory in a discussion forum?

I made no assumptions, I even asked how many seats were on the bus and between her and what she witnessed. Yes i too rode in the short bus. but i would rather ask questions then assume what i rode in would be the same as what she rode in.

She has a memory, she says she sat in the front close to the driver, she says she witnessed something at the back farthest from the driver. i'm no Einstein (thanks for the complement) nor detective. (thats funny) just a guy with some reasonable questions in a thread.

The wide seat have the back that are high, not short back so that bus driver could not see what they were doing from the rear view mirror. So bus driver was not at fault if he or she did not see what they were doing there while he or she were busy paying attention on the roads. :dunno:

Give him a break. He might have trouble with the keyboard or that is the way he is when he made typo of what he or she want to express his or her thoughts. No one is perfect. Beside, you remember that we are not suppose to critize any d/Deaf AD members for making the mistake on their spelling or capital. Just let it go. We can read what he or she trying to say in his or her comment. :)

I have fewer issues with poor spelling than I do with people that use no caps or punctuation. It makes reading....less interesting.

How true. But in the recent years, the deaf victims from Boston School f/t Deaf and early 2000's deaf victims from Washington School f/t Deaf came out to file report against their school for sexual abuses by older child/teenager students and also housemates (house parent or resident assistant) and then sued them. Trauma kept them for decades....then now not long ago about 200 deaf boys (girls included?) from catholic school in Wisconsin were suing the sole priest for sexual abuses that was spanning years from 1940s to 1980s?

Nothing new about you just same thing you did to Reba by acting like a defendant lawyer challenging cross-examination in court.

I saw everything no fuzzy memory. Clear as a crystal. There was no one on the bus except them two, myself, and the bus driver. The same boy who did it to her, he was the bully boy at my school, of course he bullied me such as putting his boogers on my cap, pulling my hairs so harshly a couple of times that caused two bald spots on my head. Along with spitting, demanding me to steal some stuff outta of other student's backpack to give it to him, if I refused he would do something bad to me. yes, he also threatened to do something bad to me if I told the teacher or the principal. That's why the one of the several reasons I decided to transfer to other school. At that time, I knew nothing in understanding what is right and wrong about children's sexual abuse or whatnot. But I knew about "do not talk to strangers" the kids and I were taught at school and also by the parents. The same boy did fingering the other one, black girl. She just happens to be lesbian living in Florida. Of course many of my old school mates moved to Florida. I may feel like Marlee Matlin because like someone posted here I think, said that she won't name the names who sexually abused her as a child because she does not want to be sued. Huh. Anyway, needless to say my eldest sister is certifted psychologist for 20 years and she told me about one of her clients, 8 years old boy to whom she helped counseling therapy with, he raped his own 4 years old sister with a stick. Is that normal? Highly doubt.

There's much more. I posted something in other thread in different section here on AD where you challenged with Reba, about my ex. He was "being manipulated" and "took advantage of" by other 2 boys who all of them and I went to same hearing school when they were 10, 10, 13. Again at 14 himself. Now you see, what had became of my ex, he's ,uh, aggressively ephebophile whatever ambroisa had brought up with these terms. I still have the record of him saying that he wished the sexual consent law policy should be removed and that he only firmly believed in when the girls are "ready". What does that tell you? Fecking scary and sick he even sent a kiddie porn link to my crossdresser best friend in AOL email.

The Wisconsin Catholic School and BSD cases in all likelihood had to do with the trend of Catholic insistutions being really.....harsh.
The WSD case was due to kids with REALLY severe emotional issues not being properly served....they really needed to be in a locked psycatric ward......

As I understand it rape and abuse is more about power than sex... If a 12 year old is trying to have power over a 9 year old then it's rape and abuse... But if it's a friendship and it's either welcome or curiosity or less understood then I think it's innocent.
 
I wouldn't even know how to deal with this if it were ever put in my face. * Like if I had kids and had to deal with it * I honestly can not say. This subject makes me so incredibly uncomfortable and grossed out it's unreal. Anything involving sexual anything with kids in it is just a topic I get extremely upset about. Kid with another kid.... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeech... Eeeeeeeerrrmmmmm.... Ech..... r..... well, I suppose curiosity happens at young ages, however, I think 12 years old is beyond the age of curiosity personally.... Again, very touchy topic and not a very light topic at all.... Again, so many factors and things that I'd have to take into account, I can only hope if I were to ever have kids this topic won't be an issue... :ugh:
